Want upper implant removed! Another Dr told m it was placed incorrectly. I was supposed to see my PS today, but they cancelled my appt. Doc was sick. Now I have to wait another 5 days before I can see her. I am considering a lip lift now. Doing research.

I'm so sorry, my worse fear. Was it dr. Atagi??

It was. I vacillate between hating it, and not hating it. How weird is that? My son was looking at me kinda funny on Fathers Day, and then asked, "what is wrong with your lip?" I didn't give him a full explanation. Just said I'm swollen, but I was embarrassed. I see Dr Atagi tomorrow. I think if she can do the implant a little deeper, and make the ridge go away, I'll be happier. That ridge is the thing that bugs me most. The fullness actually looks ok, and my husband thinks I look fine. In any case, I'm making myself crazy!

Hi! Thanx for sharing, I'm interested in getting this procedure with a lip lift. I think your results are great, it is such a soft change and it will look perfect if you go for a lip lift too. Way to go!

I've met someone who six months after a lip lift, her nose doesn't move anymore when she talks and it's really strange and distracting. Also has to wear makeup on the scar everyday that doesn't fully cover it.

Also your lips look perfect to me?

Still not sure!

I think I am 99% healed. I am not as freaked out about my results as I was initially, BUT.....I still have that funky ridge over my top lip. It is really hard to see in pictures. If the implant in my upper lip doesn't get softer, I'm probably going to remove and consider some other procedure.

Day 8

Having second thoughts. I know it's only been 8 days. Everything feels tight still, and my upper lip is numb. I have a new wrinkle that forms above my upper lip when I smile, smiling doesn't feel natural.

Thank you Mythern. The pictures don't show how weird my upper lip looks. If people only saw what the pictures show, it would be ok. Maybe I should make one of those hand held masks of myself and walk around with that! Ha! When I am chewing, there is a super obvious ridge around the implant, and, trust me, it is creepy looking. I also have uneven lumps on both sides of upper lip where the implant is too close to top of lip. I really want the top one out. The shadow above my upper lip when I'm not smiling, looks like a mustache! I'm seeing surgeon on Thursday. I told the nurse at my one week postoperative visit I was not a happy girl. At least the Dr isn't hiding from me. Follow ups are supposed to be with nurse, but I will see the Dr this next visit. I got a message on my review the day before my procedure from another Dr, warning me about the lips not looking natural on people with very thin lips like me. I had already paid in full, and went into procedure praying for the best. I wish I had taken more time researching this, and looking at alternatives. The Dr who commented on my review does a vermillion lip lift that looks amazing. I am considering doing that on top lip, or Silikon 1000. I will be more careful going forward with any procedure at this point, that is for sure!
