11 months after my mommy makeover!! Lone Tree, CO

WORTH IT$18,000

This is my story…I am very excited and afraid too, it's not my first time in surgery, I had a breast augmentation (365 cc silicon gel) and a liposuction on my stomach, turn out very aggressive because the doctor remove way to much fat, tissue etc. So the results were no very satisfactory for me. I have indentations lumps and change of color (purple blotches) all over my belly, the texture no even (breast aug. and lipo were done in January 2007 in Caracas - Venezuela). I have two boys 6 year old and 14 months, I'm done having babies and also I'm not that young 39, I will be 40 years old in Dec. I have seen different doctors in Denver, CO area for an advice and there is no much they can do about my tummy, that just go a head and get a tummy tuck to remove and re-drape the skin of the stomach and see if that will help the actual texture. I told my husband if I could get this procedure (mommy makeover) as my 40th birthday gift!!! And he said yessss!!! He is getting very nervous and me too because is getting closer and closer the date ( first week of June). I have an appointment next Monday and we will be talking whether I want or need this tummy tuck but surely I need my breast lift and remove this bad implants and replace them for good ones under the muscle.

I’m a very healthy person so I’m expecting good results, I don’t smoke or drink alcohol, I hit the gym 5 to 6 times a week, I lift weights, work out that I love toooo much!! I weight 119 pounds – 5 feet tall , so very short and muscular but very feminine. I was born in Colombia and grow up in Venezuela, a very happy Latina woman! My belly looks like a Shar pei dog, really …. please don’t laugh !! I know you laughing hehehheh me too, is very wrinkly like an slinky toy, thing that I don’t like, that happens after having babies, bad lipo and losing weight. I just want to be happy and comfortable in a bikini or at list in a monokini swimsuit ;-) !! I will be posting pictures of myself so you can help me to decide what is the best for me. I will appreciate any positive and constructive feedback!!

Did you get that butt from working out. I would die for one of those...good luck.
May 4, 2012
Yes Diamond120, working my butt off in the gym, no brazilian or implants back there at all, very natural buns, eating right is the trick, there is no exercise that will help if you don't combine both"clean eating + exercise", when I say exercise I mean power lift, lots of squats and many other exercises for glutes target!! Thank you for the nice compliment!!

Good photos because I can see what you mean on your tummy...interesting. I hope the TT gives you the results you want. I'd be surprised if you didn't see some improvement. Are you living in the US now or just traveling here for surgery?

Thank you for starting your story with us! I'm looking forward to following along on your journey.

Hi Angiemcc, I moved to CO 12 years ago, and no planning to go back for the moment, I'm happily married to a man from Minnesota and we have two beautiful boys (6 year old and 15 months old). Happy to live in this beautiful state and country!!! I got done this lipo back in Venezuela just thinking in saving money, is a lot cheaper down there, but unfurtunely I did not got the results the I was hoping for. Spend 6 years since I had it done, so now how I explain before I'm looking for advices, comments, ideas, or new ways to aboard this issue. I have my appointment next Monday with a PS to talk about solutions. After working out as hard as I do the skin texture is no changing to good , is all the opposite I see a lot more lax because I'm losing "my fat pad" . I made my case public to the doctors in this web site and I have receive many advices like full TT is good, some others don't like the idea, so is a very tricky situation.

I think you look amazing without the surgery BUT if having a TT will make you feel better, then get on it girl. I just want you to know there are women on this website that have had NO children, have HAD plastic surgery and are 10+ years younger and could still only dream to look like you at this very minute. Your body is the epitome of health, fitness, and beauty.

phoebelee, I read your comment to my husband and he felt so proud of me and probably about himself having a wife that can receive such a beautiful, positive encouraging comment toward my person!!

Well, I had an appointment last Monday and decide the the surgery day!!! ahhhhhh June 7th, coming up very fast! I was debating between mini or full TT and doctor said full TT. Very nervous now things are getting serious ... My mom is flying from Venezuela and will stay for two months, I hope is enough time to recover and enjoy my mother with out pain from surgery. This is the update!! Happy Mothers Day beautiful girls out there!! ohh one more thing have you heard about horizontal incision? my Dr. said that she rather the insicion of my old belly botton in a horizontal way (no vertical) because will heal and look a lot better than vertical, let me explain a little more, she said that maybe she won't have enough skin to redrape and pull down and will let me with a scar from my original belly botton witch she will repair with a stitches in a horizontal way instead of vertical, let me know if you girls have this case or hear about it!!! LOVE and Peace to everyone!!

I'm adding some pictures of my progress losing weight, I started in January and last 3 months, and I loved the results, but how I said my belly is not my favorite, the skin is not very smooth, I don't feel confident in a bikini. I'm sure this procedure will help me.

i think you look awesome. But I also understand not feeling comfortable or sexy in your own skin. I feel the same way, although you look much better. I am having my surgery June 8th so we will be recovery buddies. Good luck mujer!
May 11, 2012
thenewmeafter3, you will be my REALSELF buddie!! nice. What are you getting done?

Tummy tuck, Lipo of flanks and inner and outer thighs, breast lift with augmentation. It seems like a lot but I only want to have surgery once. Don't want to do it again! I am young and healthy and work out 5 times a week do I hope that helps my recovery. Are you nervous at all?
May 11, 2012
thenewmeafter3, are your implants under the muscles? Full or mini TT? I going for breast lift including (change of old bad implants for new ones, under the muscles, and going a little smaller) I have 365cc silicon implants high profile and I want something between 250 or 300cc silicon again high profile. NO LIPO for me, and a full TT fixing abdominal wall. Very painful I bet, I'm not that nervous yet, but I'm nesting, cleaning organizing my house since now. Do you think will be a need of a walker to help us with our walking around the house?
User Avatar

Under the muscle saline implants. I wanted to do silicone but with the need of MRIs and such i decided against it. I am getting a full tummy tuck with abdominal fixing as well. I dont think we will need a walker esp if you work out your legs. Which you can obviously tell you do! I have been doing tons of squats and lunges as well as weights for my legs and arms. I think we will be fine. What supplies have you bought?
May 11, 2012
None so far, what I should get?
May 11, 2012
Good girl! Proud of you!
May 11, 2012
Thnaks lantanalady!
May 11, 2012
And your body (as it is now) gives us encouragement! I am shooting for that bootie! Wow!
May 11, 2012
Thank you lantanalady, I believe that if I get fit, strong, healthy weight, as much as I can before this mayor surgery I will achieve better results. I'm not giving up my exercise routines and healthy eating because a surgery will give me a better shape, I will be training hard my "bootie" back again in the gym to refine my "fixed" body. I'm in my 39, done having kids, so this is it!!
May 11, 2012
Good for you! Don't rush it though. Follow your Drs instructions and give your body time te heal after surgery. You are gonna look awesome! Well, you already do, but more so. When is your surgery? Is it scheduled yet?
May 11, 2012
My surgery date is June 7th, right after my son is out of school so I don't need to drive anywhere, just recovering with the help of my mother and husband. I won't rush after surgery, I need to be safe after all!!
