I went to dr santdeep Paun of London to refine my nose. He botched it- he removed my supra tip break and did things I had specifically asked him not to - changed my profile. He left my nostrils uneven and from the front my nose is now like a deformed blob which leans to one side. I have trouble breathing now. I recently had my nose checked by another ENT and he told me that my nose has been left heavily scarred by santdeep's aggressive techniques. It has taken me along time to write about this because it was so upsetting. But i feel it's important for me to talk about this before I continue with finding a revision surgeon. People stare at me in the street and ask me what happened - my nose is that bad.

I met this doctor 3 times before surgery. The meetings went well. He was polite even though he was vague about the technicalities of what he would do. We agreed on what I wanted and he gave me a completely different result and botched my nose. I can't breathe anymore and now feel ugly. I will need revision surgery.

Sorry to hear about your experience. What was your surgical plan? I consulted with Paun and nearly booked to have my revision with him but during my 3rd consultation he told me off for asking too many technical questions and said I didn't need to know that. which really didnt go down well with me. I've already put my trust in 1 surgeon which has left me in the state im in.
I totally understand. He did not want to go into details with me either. I just wanted to finesse my nose and to reduce a small bump. He laughed when I asked about changing my tip slightly. I feel so bad for putting my trust in him. I think you need to go with your gut. Good luck with your search for a revision surgeon. I am still looking and it is hard to know who to trust. I think you are right to be thorough by seeing each surgeon for at least 3 times before deciding. I also think this is the best way of not letting our hearts rule our heads and spotting inconsistencies or changes in the temperament of the surgeons. I hope you will find a surgeon you can trust sweetie.
How did you hear of Paun? I know how devastating a poor result can be. Will you be posting any photos? I had a good impression of him up until then. Did he show you any before & afters?

Ah I think my comment got deleted - just wanted to say he also laughed at me. Which I didn't think was ok as I was obviously distressed. But yeh not exactly an isolated occurrence :/
My experience was oddly similar to that of the original poster. The only differences being that Mr Paun was not at all pleasant to me at consultations either before or after my operation. I hate that anyone else has gone through what I did and would certainly not want anyone else to have the experience, which is why I'm replying...however I must be honest and say that in a way it's reassuring to hear from other people who have had a bad experience with this man, because I thought I was the only one. Like the original poster, Mr Paun made changes to my nose that I had stressed many many times I didn't want because I knew they wouldn't suit my face - to the extent that I actually wondered whether he'd done it on purpose. After my operation, despite other surgeons saying they could see what the problems were, understood why I was upset and that the cosmetic outcome was unflattering, Mr Paun denied any problem and made me feel vain and foolish for caring about my appearance because I had no breathing probelms. I never felt unattractive prior to my surgery and only wanted a tiny refinement and now like the OP, I not only feel ugly - the fact is, I've lost my attractiveness. Over the last year or so I have seen the odd post from people complaining that they felt they had wasted money on consultations with this surgeon after he had been rude or cruel to them - I envy them, they had the strength to walk away. It's not vain or shallow to be upset at an adverse change in appearance, it's entirely human and normal.
It seems a few people here went to see this surgeon on the recommendation of a moderator of another forum which is now closed down. This moderator had never had surgery with Mr Paun and claimed to know of no one who had. I informed her of my poor result in March 2013....was anyone advised to see Paun by this moderator after this date? If so, she was certainly aware that he had at least one unhappy patient.

THANK YOU , I don't mean to be rude ! But I have been trying to make those people listen to how bad he is , 10 years , 2 operations, 2 eye surgeries & I am still getting reconstruction done my nose looked better be4 op he has botched me so bad & he won't own it .i am in debt & he is in Harley st because of us helped him there by botched operation.I am really sorry to hear this I know what you are going through, my nose is bad too people look at me , I hate it because I know it's bad !!!!!!
