Hi All,
Looking at Rhino Consultations presently to find the right surgeon and was recommended Lucian Ion.
Can someone help, I'm reading a lot of reviews about people having to inject themselves after surgery to do with blood clotting - is this true and do all patients have to do this uinder Lucian, as I don't see comments with other patients not with Lucian - can this process be avoided as I can't physically deal with injections and certainly can't do this daily myself - I almost have a fear of needles and get hot and stressed at the sight of them (I know i'll need to have one with I'm knocked out! though which i'll just have to deal with)
Thanks

Wow, that's really poor, I'm pretty sure it was Mya who told me they don't even do revision consultations.
I'm in Chelmsford so they are all a bit of travelling, except for my actual surgery which was done locally.
Best of luck finding the surgeon you love. if you have any question just ask :)

i had a consultation with ion last week and he did mention he gets some of his patients to self inject to reduce blood clotting, so this is true.

Mr Ion gave me 7 injectable syringes (1 a day) to take home after my revision rhinoplasty and said they were to prevent blood clotting. I hated them and had to get my husband to do them while I shut my eyes! I'm fairly sure you could refuse them though as I've never known any other surgeon/hospital give them to take home.

I went home from surgery with ion with 7 injectable seringes. I also do not like needles but you have to weigh up the fact that you don't like needles with doing this procedure as safely as possible. Also you can get other people to do it for you and it really doesn't last that long. For the safest results, it's definitely worth it x

Dear lord - now really confused, I truly can't deal with it, and I don't think anyone I know can do it for me either - i'll try an get a consultation with him anyway to have a chat, but this almost narrows down who I would use now.

Booked my opp for the 4th November!

I've gone and done it, booked my opp for the 4th Nov. Reading a number of reviews September is the earliest, I've decided to go for Nov as it will be colder/darker and avoid the hot days. Will post my updates nearer the time - but within the next month or so I'll start looking at buying my bits and bobs from the list they provide. £500 deposit to secure the date but you get this back. 2nd consultation booked in September.
It was this link I read about syringes :((((
Rajan Upple is defintley a good one from what I've read, I'm going to see Dr Tahery in Manchester for a second consultation, he has excellent reviews.
