Hello! I have been having consultations with Dr Lucian Ion for about 2 years now. I didn't think I would ever have the money or the nerve to do it, but this year I've been fortunate enough to afford it and I am finally 100 percent sure what I want. It might not seem like a big change to other people, and I think a lot of people would say I don't need a nose job, but I have been unhappy with it since I was younger, and always see myself in photos and on camera (because of the job I do) and think I would look better if it was not as short, and a little neater!
So I will include morphs from my consultation in may (before I had a lift lift surgery) and from my most recent consultation with Ion, it took us a while to settle on what would look best, this was my 3rd consultation.
There will be a bit shaven off the slope of the nose, and a rib graft to the tip and bridge of the nose. Also Ion said that the tip will need to be made a little thinner because when the nose slope is shaven down it looks wider. I have no idea if I'm using the right words for this, I should have started my review straight after my last consultation so I remembered it all! Or got him to write it down. Anyway, the surgery is only next Friday and I'm getting nervous now. I'm more worried about anaesthetic because I've never been put to sleep before, I've had one surgery in the past done under local anaesthetic. But the chances of something happening are so tiny I shouldn't be worrying! I'll be staying over night in the hospital so will be in good hands and then the night after I'll stay in a hotel, then going home.
I hope this review will help people if their thinking of doing the same, will update after surgery :)

Finally an update!

Hello! Sorry I haven't updated sooner, at first I didn't like the results and I was waiting until the swelling went down so I could post a more fair review. There really is no point judging your nose in the first month!! it's only since the steroid injections on the 18december that I have liked my nose! Now I'm really happy with it. Dr Ion used the scar from my lip lift and it's really tidy. The side view looks more sloped and my nose overall looks tidier, I like it more every day and I'm definitely happy that I had the surgery. If anyone wants to know what was done:
Tip graft (cartilage taken from nose)
Graft to the bridge (cartilage taken from nose)
Graft to septum (from nose)
And cartilage trimmed, bone Shaven to make a slope on the bridge.
He didn't need to use any rib cartilage which was great!
If anyone has any questions let me know!

Oh wow, you did it already?! It looks great! Very subtle and natural. Would love to see the front when you’re ready.

By how much was he able to lengthen it? I'd like mine lengthened too.

it was a tiny amount like seriously tiny but I don't know how much, when you go to a consultation they should be able to do a morph and measure what the difference is, if that makes sense. so you won't have to go in and say I want my nose 5mm lower, they should be able to measure it for you. x

Honest update
bb9977September 28, 2018
Okay- it's been 11 months and I want to give an honest update on how i feel.
I don't know whether the surgery was worth it. Sure It's an okay nose, but I don't think its worth 9 grand. I feel like for that money I should be in love with it everyday, do you know what I mean? I still have days where I see a picture and think, oh is that it.
I think overall it is an improvement, and thank god I don't have an complications or anything health wise. But I do wish that the front wasn't so asymetrical, or that the tip didn't look so long from some angles. Like I said it's not bad but for the money I just think it should have been better. I have put on some pics just taken now, with no makeup. when I contour it it does look a lot better but I won't include those today because I want people to have a clear look.
