Not really posted for a while on here. Been wanting to post positivity and final photos but unfortunately it wasn't to be! Not after being kicked in the nose by my younger daughter back in July. I heard a crack when it happened. Mr Ion didn't want to risk any interventions until my year from surgery was up.
So here it is! The 11th I am so ready to get this horrendous feeling in my nose sorted. It's like I've got a piece of wood lodged inside, it drives me insane! Also when I smile I have 2 boney lumps poking through the skin.
I feel really sad that this has happened and it has once again ruined another year of my life. House moving and renovation has helped the past 8 months go by, but it has felt like forever!
Lucian ion has been amazing! So supportive, he has seen me 3 times since it happened and has always made me feel that he cares. He is a brilliant surgeon!
Please, anyone out there considering rhinoplasty, do your homework, don't chose price over quality like I did 10 years ago

Well, here is an update...
My nose was healing well, swelling was going down and the shape, perfect. That is until my 4 year old daughter had a melt down, I was trying to calm her down and in the process she kicked me right up the nose! I heard a crack. I was in such a panic, I couldn't believe it! I felt a boney lump at the base of the columella, which I can press in.
I contacted Lucian straight away and he very kindly saw me the next day. I travelled to London and got to his office, I was in bits! The ladies in the office were so kind and understanding, telling me not to worry and that they were sure it will be ok. When I went in his office he examined my nose and said that it is possible that she has either shifted or fractured one on the grafts. I need to wait at least 9 months after my surgery for him to fix this. He can repair by a little cut inside the nose, I will be awake and he will just numb my nose. Lucian was so nice, he really did put my mind at ease and I was so thankful that he saw me so soon, I know how busy he is at the moment.
Thank goodness she didn't kick me on the tip! it may have been a different outcome, facing yet another revision. I have been so cross with her and found it hard to cope with things this week, especially as my husband has been away. I am so relieved that Lucian can fix it.

After 10 years of misery I am finally "happy" lucian ion has made my nose look so natural.
My nose was badly scarred and looked very much "operated on" I had sharp edges on the tip and my nostrils were flared.
I went to see Lucian ion in December. I found him to be very professional. I knew from my first consult that he could make my nose look better. He was keen to make a plan we could both agree on. The images were very helpful deciding this. He have me 3 options. The first was scar revision, the second was to do scar revision and tip work to sort out the sharp edges and the third was a full Rhinoplasty. I chose the third, so glad I did. I had a second consult to discuss the plan for the full Rhinoplasty and walked away feeling clear what he was going to do.
On march 5th my husband and I traveled to London on the train. We stayed overnight at a Premier Inn. Nikki his PA rang to confirm I had to be at the Weymouth hospital for 7.30am.
The following morning I was in a bit of a panic! I was so scared, having had 2 unsuccessful surgeries before I really don't know how I could cope with another failure.
After my op I was very sick! I had a lot of blood in my stomach. Every time I got up felt terrible! The nurses were really good and did everything they could to help me feel better. Looking back, I wish I had paid to stay over night. The journey back to the hotel was horrible ( took the tube!! ) bit brave I know, but taxi would have took forever in London traffic. I found it difficult to eat anything as I couldn't open my mouth that wide.
The following days were hard. I don't sleep very well at the best of times and sleep was an issue as breathing was difficult. The swelling and bruising came out on day 2 and 3, I was not a pretty sight.
The following Friday I went back to London to have my stitches removed. The nurse was really nice she was very gentle and it didn't really hurt that much. When she took the cast off she gave me a mirror and I just burst out crying, my tears of relief! My nose looked so much better, even though it was very much swollen. I couldn't believe what a change he had made. We left his office and went shopping I kept looking in the mirror and couldn't believe it???? I LOVE MY NEW NOSE!
I had my six week check up last Friday. He was very pleased with my progress and said that I wouldn't need any steroid injections. He said that he would like to see me again in six months time.
I think that the man is a genius I don't know how he has done it, but he has worked a miracle on my nose.
I am so much happier as a person now I am so much more confident and feel that I can move on with my life and start to living it.
