Going through a very emotionally turbulent time in my life and wasn't sure what exactly the issue was and thought it was to do with me. Decided after a couple of month (not a very long time, I'm aware) that I want a nose job.

pros: not much of a change was made thankfully.

cons: had complications with the procedure and was left with quite a noticeable scar.

Could you say a little more about what you had done please and possibly post some picture?

Did you have Rhinoplasty with Dr Lucian Ion? Because I have only read excellent reviews and yours is the only one I have read with a negative review. And your review doesn't seem convincing, you don't explain much and you have no photographs, also you just keep mentioning Dr...

I not here to convince you of anything, simply sharing my experience with Dr Lucian Ion. If it gets people to question there decide, can you please to me how that is a bad thing?

Welcome to the community and thanks so much for offering your opinion of your doctor.

It would be great if you could give us a little more detail about your experience, like why you had the surgery, your tips for getting good results, pros/cons, and info on the recovery process.

Our community members especially love seeing photos from before, during, and after — a realistic look at what they can expect. Photos grab the attention of the community and encourage more support for you.

As a community manager, I get requests all the time from other members who want me to to keep encouraging people to share their experiences, which are so helpful for others considering these procedures. So please accept this as a well-intentioned request from thousands.

I had rhinoplasty 8 weeks ago . My nose is getting better and better . So you say you had a second operation with him . Is it better now ?
Your review is strange , hopefully your happy now ?? Although I'm not sure that you sound a contented person

Hi,

The second operation did improve the noticeability of the asymmetry, but, it is still noticeable. My concern is, the fact that no farther assessment of, whether I should have had the procedure in the first place.

Looking back now, I don't think there was and still (because thankfully, it still looks like my original nose) a problem with my nose, but, with how I was feeling at the time.

Do you think it was the surgeon ' s responsibility to asses your mental state ?
I think sometimes they should realise a patient is not suitable mentally for surgery , your correct . The only thing is , it can be quite easy to make yourself seem sure and confident about what you want . Most of us that have surgery have some confidence issues . I do hope you can be happy in the future

In my experience, I filled out a form, which of course everyone has to do, and on the form, there is a section about mental health, why fill it out on a sheet of page, to then not be asked by a "specialist"? Of course they should, unless they have no idea themselves, of how to assess someone. which makes you question the whole thing.

Yeah we do, but, if that isn't the answer then, it's as though they are taking advantage.

Thank you, I do feel a lot better, but, it doesn't excuse my concern.

Hi , Ok , that is fare comment .
But I also believe we take responsibility for are decisions . Surgeons are in that Buisness to make people like us hopefully happy with the things we feel we are not happy about . Sometimes us , we think we will be happier with these things tweaked or more and quite often there is something far deeper going on . I am just trying to say that it's not always the surgeon 's fault if after your not feeling any happier , Any how good luck in the future

Yes, that is right, but, let me use this analogy, If I want to build a house, I go to someone experienced in the area to do that. whether it an architect of a builder or whatever, it's in there hands as to how good a job they do; not mine, I can only say what I want done.

If it is something deeper, then why pay someone to change something on the surface, the deeper issues are still going on, that was my case. I do not depend on any surgeon to make me happy, that's down to me.

Thanks again, wish you the same.

I could just be being a drama queen, but, it's also food for thought.

I had an alar base reduction, to reduce nostril flare, no idea why.
