24 Y/o, Severe Tuberous Breasts, Breast Lift with Implants on Dark Skin, Currently 36B/C - London, GB

I’m so grateful to finally be rid of my tuberous breasts after many years of toying with the idea of surgery!!
In the end I decided to trust the process and let go so I ditched all of the ‘wants’ I picked up along the way (ie. exact cc size, placement, incision) and just left the decision making with my surgeon. I figured that the most important thing I wanted out of this was for my breasts to be corrected. The one thing that I did put forward was that I wanted to go as big as confortably possible so as to suit my body frame.
I arrived in Istanbul on 13/12/18 a night before my scheduled surgery date and spent a night at the hospital called Balat Hastanesi. The nurses did not speak English but were amazing at making me comfortable and using Google translator to inform me of anything they needed to do. I had my preoperative tests done that evening and was given my final meal before surgery.
On the day of surgery I was told by the nurses that I was scheduled for 1:30pm. Being completely honest, it took a lot for me to get to the point where I was calm and collected for surgery as prior to this my biggest fear was going under anaesthetic. Travelling solo to another country for surgery wasn’t an issue at all for me compared to my fear of being put to sleep! However I found it helpful watching/reading reviews of other women’s BAs to prove that it was a situation I would come out of. Anywayy, I had a few more preoperative checks done by the nurses before meeting my doctor for the first time. Professor Murat came in to see me 45 mins before my surgery time to check on how I was feeling as well as proceeding to mark up my breasts.
At this point it all began to feel so real that I was getting bloody surgery! Fast forward to the surgery time, being put under was nowhere near as bad as I thought it was going to be so to any ladies who are scared: DON’T BE! If anything, the anxiety itself of going under is the worst part of it all. However, going under is painless and gradual and literally feels as if you are extremely tired and need to close your eyes. By the time you open your eyes, the thing is done and it feels like only five minutes have passed when it actual fact it’s actually been like 2 hours!
It was difficult adjusting to coming out of the anaesthesia as I felt extremely cold and couldn’t stop shaking which was worsening the crushing chest pain from my new breasts. The nurses had already put me on pain meds but had to up the dosage to control the pain as well as layering me in numerous blankets to warm me up. I usually have a high pain threshold but this honestly had to be the worst part of my whole experience as I wasn’t remotely prepared for the level of pain I had to endure in those first 10 minutes after waking up.
Professor Murat came in to check on me and let me know that the surgery went well. However to my utmost surprise, he told me that he went over the muscle via a periola incision and was able to fit high profile 350cc and 400cc without a lift! This was an absolute shock as every other surgeon I had consultations with said they would do the complete opposite. However, after looking at my new breasts I’m so impressed with how they filled out! Murat also decreased the size of my puffy areola.
After surgery, I stayed one night in the hospital and I honestly couldn’t count how many times the nurses checked up on me to run tests and top up my pain meds which was very reassuring. Plus, the nurses were just incredibly friendly and really went out of their way to make me feel comfortable.
I’m now two days post op and honestly I have to say that going over the muscle was probably best as the recovery has been so manageable especially given the fact that I’m on my own in a hotel ha! Murat prescribed me pain meds and antibiotics however I don’t actually have any pain so I might go easy with them as I’m supposed to take them twice a day. The only discomfort comes from not being able to raise my arms over my head and having to hoist myself up to prevent straining my chest area.
I’ve attached before pics and 2 days post op pics. (Please excuse the extremely bloated belly as a result of the pain meds!!) Sorry for the long winded review but hopefully this is helpful to someone out there! I’ll try to post an update once I’m at one week!

After two years of searching for a surgeon and getting comfortable with the idea of undertaking surgery, I have finally booked a surgery date for December 2018 in Turkey with Professor Murat Turegun.
I initially opted to go with MCAN health, which is also based in Turkey, however I wasn’t completely happy with the surgeon they recommended. Instead, I looked up the surgeon who trained the one I was recommended and noted he dealt with reconstructive surgery cases and had 34 years of experience under his belt. It’s safe to say that I feel confident with my final choice(!)
I’ll be having an uplift and BA to correct my tuberous breasts and I’ll post more updates once I’m in Turkey.

I hit puberty, around the age of 11, and my breasts began growing from then, however I always knew that something was not right about the shape or look of them and so I always hid them away even from my mother. As the years went on, my hatred of my breasts only grew stronger and it got to the point where I would look at myself in the mirror with such disgust I'd break down into tears.
A couple of years ago, I was a watching a television show called 'Embarrassing Bodies' and a woman with breasts exactly the same as mine came on and it was from then on that I came to learn the term 'tuberous' and that I wasn't the only one with the deformity! Soon after I had it confirmed by my GP and had a go at applying to have them fixed on the NHS however that was turned down (no surprise there!). Since then, I have had numerous consultations with various doctors trying to find the perfect surgeon to finally fix them. I am set on finally having them done in December this year and have my last consultation in a few weeks with a renowned doctor at one of the Spire clinics. From there, I hope to settle on one PS to use and book my surgery as soon as possible.
The reviews on here and a private Facebook group called Eden's Bustmob, have all helped to make this process easier and less daunting. My only worries are keloid/hypertrophic scarring and generally going 'under'!! There aren't many cases of tuberous women with dark skin on here so I hope I can be of help to someone else out there.
