8 months update !!!! So happy

Well it's been 8 months now since I had the tummy tuck.

I could not be any happier and confident in my body and all the clothes I can now wear ... Little dresses tight low cut jeans shorts and bikinis I can wear anything I want !

So I am a gym bunny I am working hard at the gym doing heavier weights than I ever done before feeling so well and strong.

My belly button scarring has gone and I am loving it.

I don't swell but if I over eat I swell up a little but I did that before the tummy tuck. I am clean eating no sugar and 5 small meals a day this is because I am training hard.

I am getting sensation back to the tummy area it's still numb centrally and I can't touch it it feels odd ! But slowly I feel it's coming back.

So I feel fully recovered. Life is normal. It was a very tough procedure to go through the first 8 weeks I say but as long as you listen to your body and follow your consultant s advice things will heal nicely.

I posted a couple of pictures of how it looks now . Compared to how it was I could not be any happier :)))))

10 weeks post op :)))))))))))))

thought i would post an update @ 10 weeks. :)

so things are great im in the gym 5 x week squats, stair machine walking on incline on treadmill. Weight training too with baby weights! but i am listening to my body as i know if i go in too heavy i i get a little twinge of pain which tells me no dont do that . that is the key to the whole process of healing listen to your body and dont go full on and in !! so i still do not feel right running, every couple of days i try and it just feels odd so i am just waiting for when it feels right. good news also that my bum is no longer as flat as a pancake lol my shape is coming back! yay!

Also to point out that i did some interval on the spin cycle and nearly passed out. It made me go over my diet again, im on a very high protein plan with hardly any carbs ......so how on earth am i going to hit the gym at HIT without carbs! so i have gone to my normal eating of high protein balanced with carbs now this has worked and i am feeling good. i no longer want to pass out!

I am using bio oil 2 x a day and cocoa butter once a day as the skin was feeling dry but now its feeling soft i am happy with my scar too its healing nicely. Also my tummy now feels part of me if that makes sense its feeling good. with regards to my back that now feels straight but i feel like i need to work on my posture its not quite as it was perhaps pilates or yaga will be a good idea for me.

all i know is i have a new confidence about me and i love it as does my husband. :)

I have had to throw out all my old clothes as they were all bought based on hiding the tummy i had ........so i am just waiting for the spring clothing ranges to come out in the shops and i am going to go and spend spend spend on new clothes .

i have a 3 month check up soon and will update then :)

Update with the slow to heal part - it's healed !

Hi, thought I would update with good news that my slow to heal part has fully closed now and I can shower freely ! Happy days!

I know that it will fade and heal nicely I just need to give it time each day it gets better and that's the healing progress tummy tucks go through . I'm happy still with my results it's only 7 weeks and loads more healing to do ! So onwards and upwards !

I have put pictures of my scar and the just healed part for you to see I think It looks smaller in real rather than the picture ! I'm happy to say I don't swell and I have no problems just a couple of stitches that are poking under skin you may see a little red bit on my hip a stitch under skin keeping an eye on it but that's healing ! And the scar has tiny red dots here and there from the staples but they will go too . Oh and the red rash near the just healed bit was my allergy to the mepore dressings I had ! I have an allergy to Elastoplast and now the mepore dressings so that redness will go too now my skin can breathe !

All in all I'm happy hope my pictures and story help those researching :)))
