I really didn't have the time or inclination for surgery and researched many clinics and doctors before deciding on who I was going to use. I went to a consultation and told the Doctor my concerns and the bits I would like to improve. He suggested some treatments. I had one vial of voluma to each cheek and a vial of volift for lip lines. He used an normal small needle for the upper cheeks and a cannula for the mid cheek area. At first it looked ok, in fact hardly any different and I thought I would get some more in a month or so. I didn't bruise much and was pleased about that but after a few days I just couldn't see any real difference in volume and it looked a bit lumpy. Now five weeks later I have one cheek that has a defined bump on my cheekbone and the other cheek looks as though I have a long scar. My lip has a black mark still and the lines are raised instead of smooth. I am really gutted with the result. Has anyone else had this kind of problem?

Have you been back for follow up visits? If yes, what did the Dr. say? I just had Voluma Tuesday. I was told that it can become lumpy. I know that Juvederm can be dissolved but not sure about Voluma. Good luck. I would not be pleased with those results either.

Hi. I am going back next week. I sent the Doctor my photos and told him I wasn't happy with how my skin is looking now and he has asked me to go in. I have waited five weeks just to see if it improved but I think it has just got worse. I hope your voluma stays smooth and looks great. I know most people get great results. I'll keep you posted about what happens after I have seen the Doc. Thank you for your comment x

I had Volumina 3 days ago and one cheek is larger and higher than other. Dr said to give it at least 2 weeks for swelling to subside before we talk about revisions. I hope your Dr is open to fixing the situation. Good luck to you

I hope your voluma is to your liking after the swelling has gone down. Good luck with it.

Still the same. One side bigger. Will make an appt for next week as that marks 2 weeks out. Just hoping the revision isnt on my dime, but suspect that will be the case. Ill update once ive gone. Thanks!

Well you never know. My skin seems to take ages to recover. I had infinite 3 months ago and thought the marks would never go and it put me off having more treatment. Then this rotten unevenness with voluma...maybe I should just give up

I had the same result on my cheekbone from being very thin. I went back more product was added to soften the ridge. Also, you can put hot compresses on your face and see if you can massage to make it "blend" more. I would definitely return -- and yes, my physician told me Voluma can be dissolved just like Juvederm.

Thanks for that advice. I have been firmly massaging the puckered area several times a day and it has actually smoothed out a bit. I might consider having more as I also think the problem was too little filler. But I will go to another Doctor. Mine never even offered a follow up.

I posted a review about Voluma. I had a very good experience. I had one syringe put in each cheek. My appearance is so fresh and natural that I get complimemts on my hair, my skin etc but no one knows. Go back to your dr. He can reverse it.
Thank you for sharing your experience. I hope you find support in the community.
