Rib cartilage warping
Nearly 2 years on after Lucian ion revision I just want this horrible rib cartilage out of my nose it’s bend to the left and I have breathing problem .

Your nose looks great. You are very handsome. You have a real men nose. I like you and your nose. I have a cartilage from ribs and you have not seen how you can have problems and how much your nose can be worse. Please stop with operation. You look amazing. Your nose is very beautiful nose. No one has a perfect nose. Do not look for perfection you may be disappointed. I know you have a different vision of yourself. And you want to feel good. But believe me you look too good to go back to the operation. I've been through 3 operations and I know what I'm talking about.. Please do not be obsessed with your nose. You have a beautiful nose. I am the person who tells you this and who always looks at people in the nose. You find something else with which you will be obsessed. Operations can go wrong. More surgery can result in infections and skin necrosis. Please think about where you are going and what to do. I wish you all the luck. My English is bad, I hope you understand me.
Just being honest but when you look at your before pics to now your nose looks really good.I think Lucian has done a fab job but obviously it is how you feel that matters but as someone who is impartial I honestly think he has done a lovely job
Well it might look good to you but I went to him to have my nose made wider and longer not shorter with cartilages showing through the skin bending to the left ,I don’t know it have had revision but it’s not very nice to see the rib cartilages showing through the skin
And what do you think will happen to your nose if you remove the rib support? You can’t just remove support out of your nose. He rearranged your tip cartilages differently and that’s why things that weren’t seen before are more visible. Like deviation etc.. It’s not the rib cartilage. He shortened your tip.
Well I’m just fed up with how the rib looks in the nose it shows through the skin my nose without rib cartilage was much better .
When you say you wanted your nose longer, did you want it longer on profile?? I still don’t understand what you even asked for. He put you in a lower lateral repositioning. This makes it longer on the side but actually shortens the front of the tip of the nose alot. Did he tell you that would happen or no?
It’s a lot of the reason why you see a lot of deviations on your bridge now as well because lateral crus that used to sit up on the bridge have now been pulled down lower near your nostril rims. They don’t mask the deviations as much anymore

If you notice he does this a lot with his patients. It also causes a lot of the asymmetries in the nostrils they complain about

Thank you so much ,well I’m just fed up really having this rib cartilage in my nose bridge ,because my English is not very good to explain but I will try my best ,basically nose should be only revised with what cartliges is left in the nose nothing else should be used no rib or ear because we live with it it’s on the face it’s not a temporary thing so I would love to find a doctor to take the rib cartilages out of my nose
Well ,I had revision rhino with Ion last June ,he used Rib graft ,but I feel it’s part of my nose now ,I don’t feel it as a stranger!

I have a cartilage from the ribs and my nose goes to the right side looks like a broken and asymmetric nostril I have..I did not work with Dr. Ion but I wanted to go to consultations and I've seen a lot of negative coments lately so I do not know.

I am still happy but recently I noticed that small part of my right side is caved in little bit , will check it with Ion when I see him soon

I really think your nose looks very nice. I do not understand why do you want your nose wider? I'm sorry to say so but who on earth wants a wider big nose? your nose is wide enough. You look good in photos. I strongly advise you to leave your nose in peace. I'm talking from experience- I had x2 open rhinoplasties and x1 recent small revision under local.
@kanar and these were all with Ion?? He seems to do revisions and small locals al large time on his patients. I know some who have been in 2 - 3 times already. I think he tries to do shortcuts first and when they don’t work he has to go in again. It’s sad because this traumatizes his patients
No my first rhinoplasty was with a different surgeon who ruined my nose!
I had my first revision with Ion 2 years ago but ended up with few flaws. I had another small revision with him under local anesthesia which took about an hour. So far so good. I’m 1 month post op. Still swollen. Will write a review once I heal and make sure I’m happy with my outcome.

Hopefully this one will hold up. Thanks for the response Kanar! I’m 50/50 with Ion as I’ve seen him do some pretty good revisions and honored what the patient asked for , but I also know patients who have gone in and he did the opposite of what they’ve asked for. Needless, to say I’m scared that I might be one of those people he does opposite. He’s known for doin g that.

I think I made big mistake by putting my mind on my nose so much I lost so much Great things like my girlfriend who loved me dearly my I was thinking about the surgery so much I lost my self .dr ion is a nice person but I'm sorry he made my nose completely different to what I wanted it

You still the same person and your nose does not define who you are. Try to get your life back and move on. I don't like to see you so sad
It’s so sad you can’t find peace with your new, lovely nose. I think your new nose suits you much more.
May I ask why you went through 4 surgeries ? I can see the issues in the pictures, but you keep saying you liked this nose shape, therefore want to try and understand why you feel this way about your new, neat, proportioned nose ? I really think Dr Ion done a really, natural job. Xx
I understand being unhappy but I honestly think your new nose is much nicer and suits you better, it also is more balanced. I think sometimes we hold on to how we remember our faces and it can be hard to accept change good or bad, but you do look very handsome and masculine with your new nose. Maybe give it some time and see if you get more used to it.
Happiness comes from your mind and within you despite any circumstances it’s easy to feel you must punish yourself after making a decision that has made you unhappy or caused suffering and loss but it’s not what is right. I’m sorry to preach or seem like I have all the answers because I don’t after all I’m on this site as well looking at many surgeries that I think may make my life better. Thank you for sharing your story it has helped me greatly and many others I’m sure and for that you deserve to be happy.
I’m sure you don’t want to hear this but I agree with the others your new nose is so good! From an outside observer it looks natural and perfectly proportioned to the rest of your face. Sometimes we can’t see the beauty within ourselves (I made a mistake getting mine done too. I’m desperate to see ion but he isn’t accepting anymore revision patients) Honestly though you are a really attractive man and from the photos youve posted of before and after I think the ion revision is an improvement. It’s how you feel at the end of the day I totally get that. Hoping you find a solution or peace with it. Someone once said to me when you leave this life do you think people will remember or talk about your nose! No they won’t! They’ll remember you for being kind, loving, a good person etc etc we are too harsh on ourselves. X
