How it works
- Our highly-trained Review Moderation team evaluates all reviews before they're published to ensure they're written by people like you and not a member of a doctor's office.
- This multi-step process takes up to 24 hours from review submission to publication.
- Doctors can't pay to have reviews removed or hidden.
- Reviews are only removed at the reviewer's request or if they violate our Terms of Service.
If you have questions or believe we should re-evaluate a published review, let us know.

I've always been unhappy with my nose - as a kid, I was constantly hiding my nose in photos with different things (you can see in one of the ones I posted up!)
Finally, after researching on this site, I booked to see Mr Lucian Ion in London (UK) due to his amazing reviews. The wait time was rather long (1 hour past my appt slot, I had to run to get my train afterwards) but the staff and Ion himself were all lovely.
I'm rather apprehensive about the price (ouch!), but I'd much rather pay for someone with glowing reviews and not need a revision due to a botched job. After all, it's permanently changing something on your face....
I've posted Ion's morph up - I actually think he's gone a little too dramatic on lowering the bridge, so when I go for my 2nd appt in October I'll take some of my own morph edits and see what he thinks.
This rhinoplasty will also help me to breath through my right nostril, as it collapses when I breathe in through my nose at the moment :(
Main issues:
- Tip is too bulbous
- I have a groove/line underneath my tip (can't really see it in pictures)
- Can't breathe properly through right nostril
Surgery is booked for 8th December 2017, I'm definitely nervous - but posting about it on here should hopefully help me - and others that are looking to book with Ion in the future!

1 day post op!
So the big day came and went! I had a slightly different morph chosen from my previous appointment (wanted to keep the higher bridge of my old nose, see below).
The hospital - Weymouth Street Hospital - was super friendly and welcoming, the staff there were ace! Yesterday was awful in terms of recovery, I had super bad nausea for a few hours, and my blood pressure was very low (fainted when I went to the toilet the first time), spent the majority of the day drifting in and out of sleep.
I knew breathing through my mouth would be hard, but gawd I was not prepared for quite how dry my mouth and tongue would get! Very glad I brought lipbalm with me, and mango sorbet and ice cream was really nice for the sore throat from the breathing tube.
Both the anaesthetist and Ion came to see me yesterday, but I was far too groggy to make much sense of it. They came today and were fab in explaining what had gone on, and what to expect over the next few days - namely the swelling!
I already look and feel like a chipmunk now (about 36 hours post-op) and frozen peas on my eyes/cheek are helping a little, but Lucian Ion said it's the worst about 48 hours post-op, so I'll keep you all updated!
Looking forward to getting this cast off on Friday (train strikes permitting)!

2 days post op
Back at home now, feels really nice to have had a shower and wash my hair, though the pen Ion uses to mark your face up is very difficult to get off! Still have a line down my forehead haha. Would recommend anyone travelling after their surgery to take some concealer, that's what I did so I didn't have a line drawing stares from the crowds (I pulled a scarf up over my cast so nobody saw it on the train journey back).
Swelling is better today, my eyes can open more, but you can see from the picture it's moved down to my lower cheeks / jaw with gravity, can't really smile much - wonder where it will end up tomorrow!
And it's snowing outside! First proper snow the UK has had for years, (typically when I can't actually go outside) but it's lovely to look at.
The bleeding from the nose is still happening on and off, but it's more watery today and less like thick blood.
