Yes 58. I got full Metal braces at the age of 28 and wore them for 2 years. Loved how they looked. Over the years I have some shifting and gaps. I started invisible treatment 10 yrs ago with dentist I was working for, did not continue due to leaving job. I now have insurance and am begining treatment again.
I know my teeth will move much slower at my age. I will document my journey along the way.

Thanks for sharing your journey with this community. Do you know yet how many trays you'll have and how long your treatment will be?

Hi, my orthodontist told me that teeth will not move slower with age. I am 55. Mine may be moving somewhat slower than average, because I have very long tooth roots, which is a good thing. I should never have any teeth fall out when I get older.
By the way, I lived in Livonia for 4 years, 1974-1978. I graduated from Stevenson High School, then moved back home to California for college, and the rest of my life.
Good luck with Invisalign!!!!

So how long have you been in treatment?

23 months so far, but I lost about 8 weeks due to a tooth abscess in June/July, 2014. I have another 6 or 8 weeks left to go.

I just read your 2 year review. A little concerning, you sure have had some bumps in the road. I hope it was all worth it and that you will be pleased with your results. I am finally getting my trays and attachments on Monday March 21.

Thanks for reading my review !
It has been quite an adventure.
Good luck with your treatment, and your 1st set. If you feel like "what have I gotten myself in to????" the 1st few days of wearing your trays, that is a common thought, and it gets much better.
Around set #8 when you start to see changes, it gets even better. You should notice changes before then with flossing, but visually about set #8 is average.

My youngest sister recently moved back to Livonia after living in Tampa Florida for the past 6 years. She and her husband just bought a new house, near 8 Mile Rd. I can't remember the cross street, but near a golf course and cemetary.

I am 66 and started my Invisalign on February 23, 2016. I am in the midst of tray 4 right now. My orthodontist told me that, yes, teeth do move more slowly with age. She said that usually gender and ethnicity affect the movement as well, as different people have denser bones. I am supposed to have 23 trays, so we'll see if I have any trouble with the prescribed track.

I am beginning my journey with Dr. NICOLE TEIFER of Novi's Today's Orthodontics. I am waiting for my trays to come in. My estimated treatment will be 13 months. Excited to be starting my Invisaline treatment.

It has been almost 6 weeks since I got my scans. Today I received my first set of trays. They put my attachments on. So glad that I do not have any on my front teeth, so far. So far no pain.
