Hi I've been researching Vaser Lipo for quite some time now and after a few consulations decided to book the.proceedure with Dr Nurein at Liverpool next week. Im having my inner and outer thighs and knees done with fat transfer to the hollows in my hip area, just above my outer thighs. I have also booked several lymphatic drainange massages with a local therapist and have started taking arnica in the hope to might keep the swelling down and minimize the bruising. Has anyone had a similar proceedure recently, any advice greatly received .....

Hi Kaddy. I had vaser with Dr.Nurein on my upper/lower abs, flanks and bra roll. I am pleased with his work although I am still swollen but that is expected. He is very laid back and good at what is does. It will be worth it.

Hi Bonny, thank you for your reply. Do you have any before and after photographs, also after reading the reviews on this site alot of people comment about the burning sensation and pain during the proceedure. I spoke to the clinic today regarding a review consultation but was informed that this wasn't necessary with vaser, I must say I am a little disturbed by this since all the other after care packages I've read offered by other clinics clearly state a follow up visit is required so that the surgeon can check on healing and any issues etc. Have you had any lymphatic massages and when did you have your surgery?.I've taken a few days off work since my job can be quite strenuous at times and invovles alot of driving, just hope i'm flexible enough in my full length garment to cope. I do intend to post some pre and post op photographs so watch this space. 3 days to go and feeling quite nervous, apprehensive and excited!!!!!!

Hi Kaddy. I have my own but not professional ones just yet. when I do I will most definitely post them for people to see. Ok in terms of pain remember everyone if different. It hurt me quite a bit but i met a girl at the clinic and she said she was liking it. the burning is the hot fat that has been melted but they have a suction for that. I kept telling them to keep sucking lol. What clinic are you visiting and where do you live? Im not sure what they are on about because I had a follow up about 2 weeks after. Talk to your patient coordinator and request a follow up at the end of the you are paying for the service in my eyes you can go for a follow up as many times if thats what makes you feel at ease. I had my surgery 4th April and yes I do have lymphatic massage and i love it makes me feel so at ease for that moment in time. It is very light pressure but does feel great. And i think its actually working on me. Yes if your job is full on days off are needed. I read reviews on here that people return to work a day or 2 after well I find that hard to believe. My surgery was on a thursday and i went back to work on the monday only because i sit at a desk all day. just REST REST REST thats the best healing in my eyes. The garment isnt really a problem after a while you get use to it. I almost depend on it now i love it. Yes please make sure you post some photos i might just post my own for now. And dont worry you will be fine [RS bleep]

Hi Bonnie 123, sorry for late reply. Im having my proceedure at the Liverpool Clinic which is a little further than I would have liked to travel but the offer they had on for the vaser they wouldn't honour at a clinic closer to where I live. The most annoying thing is because I'm having the fat transfer and the Liverpool Clinic don't normally have the equipment for this and the fact that Mr Nurein asked if Newcastle was closer and suggested I attend that clinic instead (which is only 40 mins away and not nearly 4 hours) I was over the moon but this was swiftly put a stop too and I was informed that it would incurr an extra cost of £500, I tried to argue that it wasnt my problem they didn't have the fat transfer facility so guess what, the Liverpool Clinic is providing the equipment just for that day..........I'm also a little annoyed at paying £90.00 for the garment after researching and finding that I could have bought it myself for the cost of £67.00, they probably get a job lot at a reduced cost any way - rant over. I have been in touch with a LMD thearapist and have some massages booked with her so just waiting for Friday to arrive. Getting very worried now - haha xx

Hi K1234M, well I guess you received the same phone call as me today. My heart goes out to Dr Nurein and his family and these situations can't be helped, but that said I am really dissapointed and at the lack of further communication from the clinic.............

Hi Kaddy, yes I received the call. And again my heart goes out to Dr nurien but I am also like you a abit dissapointed. I'm actualy going away In 8 weeks so was looking forward to having it done before then. As they don't know how long he will be off for or when roughly they will be able to book us in next I don't no if I will be able to have it done now. At least at the moment it looks like after July sometime which is deffinatly not what I wanted. I understand these things happen and I wouldn't wish it on anyone but the lack of info is disappointing. Being a bank holiday it looks like we won't hear nothing until at least Tuesday. X

Hey Kaddy. Thats the clinic I went to. I would have loved fat transfer :[ I had enough of it taken out lol. I totally understand about the money for the garment but I ordered another one myself of the same website "Macom" and its actually not far off the price once P&P is included. So excited for you please let me know how it all goes!!! Also where are you getting the fat transferred to because I am so considering this for the future.
May 3, 2013
Hi Kaddy, Oh no I am so sorry. Have you rescheduled? I know it cant be helped but still anoying for yourself.
May 8, 2013
I'm in with Dr Nurein too , I have also been put back but I've been given a date of Sunday 19th of July. I am also due to go away on holiday in about six weeks and I really wanted to be past the worst in terms of pain an swelling. The delay can't be helped and my provider did telephone me to let me what had happened to the Dr's family. So all in all, a shame but were all human and need time to get things sorted eh. Keep me posted on your progress. Thanks.

Well I attended the clinic yesterday to have my procedure, I had to wait a few hours because there was a delay but the staff made me comfortable and where very friendly. Prior to the procedure I had a further consultation with Mr Nurein and we discussed my procedure, risks etc and also I wanted a further area doing which he was happy to do. I can only praise Mr Nurein and his team during the procedure, he was extremely proffessional and very caring about my needs asking regularly if I was okay or if it was hurting, it was very uncomfortable at times but he stopped when needed to add more anesthetic. I also had fat transfer to the hollows between my hip and thigh bones (see before pictures when uploaded). The procedure took around 2 and half hours then half an hour to clean and dress the incisions and put me in my garment. I was given all the necessary pain relief, antibiotics, dressings etc to take home and I have arranged for a medical friend to remove my stitches in a weeks time. I must say I most definately couldn't have driven home as i experienced alot of pain to my left knee during and after the procedure and struggled to bend my legs to get into the car. I haven't had much in the way of drainage either but im only 8 hours post op. I feel very sore and swollen this morning but don't require any pain relief at present so I suppose thats a good thing. Just to update I had my inner/outer thighs, inner and tops of knees, flanks and fat transfer. I really can't praise Mr Nurein and his surgical team enough. I will keep you updated with my healing progress so watch this space :)

Hi CurlsandCocktails, yes the clinic at Liverpool is an old building but once inside it is very professionally decorated with a reception and seating area and consultation rooms and a theatre so procedure is carried out at the clinic. The staff are all lovely and Mr Nurein and his nursing staff are very professional, caring and understanding. I found the procedure very uncomfortable and painful at times but Mr Nurein was conscious of this and kept stopping to check I was ok, however I think everyone is different regarding pain thresholds etc. Im not sure what my final results will look like as I'm still very swollen and only have slight bruising now which has healed quickly due to the lymphatic drainage massages which I recommend you have. Think very carefully what areas you want to have treated and ask lots of questions on your consultation. Hope this info helps and keep me posted :)
