6 weeks post op: new body
Absolutely over the moon with my results... This can truly be a life changing surgery, and I cannot be happier. The recovery process was hard but wasn’t as bad as some YouTube videos and reviews here make it sound, although the process is different for everyone. Just make sure you have someone with you the first two or three days and make sure you stay at the hospital the first night, I wouldn’t recommend going home right after surgery because there is significant discomfort from the anesthesia (nausea, dizziness were the worst). Pain was manageable with volt fast and Tylenol. The most difficult part for me was the drain which became a bit painful after 3 days but I got to remove it after about a week. The most difficult part of the surgery will be the postop massages but I’m so glad I had them. The massages (included in the overall cost!!!) were done in Dr Aljaber’s PHI clinic on a daily basis for a month! I still do two massages a week because I still have minor swelling and it is also free of charge. They do that to make sure the hard work the Dr does in etching the abs doesn’t get wasted with poor postop care or swelling or seromas and bumps that can form after a surgery. The massages are PAINFUL but they get easier after ten or fifteen days, I used to pop a couple of Tylenol before each session. All in all, this is the best thing I have ever done for myself and I cannot be happier that I got to do it with such a great doctor, team and hospital staff. I really recommend Dr AlJaber for those who want drastic yet natural results without compromising their safety and health!
Vaser liposculpture in Qatar
I am currently writing this review on my surgery day 9 hours after my liposculpture with Dr Hamad AlJaber. I have been suffering from anxiety for 5 years now which has left me completely vulnerable to anything related to a medical environment. I have been bothered by my love handles and my violin shape my entire life and no matter how much I work out, diet or massage, they just seemed too stubborn.
However, due to my anxiety, I never felt ready for such a heavy surgery and the feel of going under was just too overwhelming. I accompanied a friend to an appointment she had with Dr AlJaber and casually inquired about liposculture. He does have a sterling and well established reputation in Qatar and I honestly just felt at ease for some unknown reasons. I immediately expressed interest in doing the surgery with him and hoped that he'd accept because I know his waiting list is pretty long.
The time leading up to the surgery was unbearable for me, my anxiety was up to the roof, many sleepless nights and dozens of YouTube videos and RealSelf reviews about pain, general anesthesia risks and complications. My preappointment with the Anesthesiologist helped a lot in controlling my anxiety level and she (Dr May) made sure I ran every possible test and had clearance from my cardiologist given that I have a very minor heart condition.
This morning was a smoother ride because the doctor seemed very reassuring, the nurses were adorable, I prayed like never before and finally went under.
The procedure lasted 4-5 hours and I cannot believe how painless it is right now. There is absolutely no pain (I know it's attributable to the lingering effect of anesthesia but I read so many reviews describing intolerable pain right after waking up). I feel absolutely great, my only complaint is a bit of nausea after I eat, I am extremely extremely happy that it is going ell and that no panic attacks has come up. I give huge credit to the staff of the clinic (west bay Medicare) who bend over backwards to cater to every need. The entire staff is so professional and caring and Camille is one of them whom I am sooooooo grateful to, she truly is an angel in this journey, I feel I'm very safe hands with her, I usually panic with needles, injections and generally any substance getting in my bloodstream but she makes me feel very safe to the point that I don't even research what she is injecting me with or look up risks (which is something I do allllll the time). As far as my results are concerned, I am now wearing a girdle but I can feel how tiny my waist is, Dr Hamad is known for his amazing abdominal etching skills which give a naturally athletic abdomen, I can't waiiiiiit to share my impressions with you once I remove the girdle for my massage. See you tomorrow!
