Update - Before Photo
I am adding the before photo! As you can see, the fullness between my thighs has drastically reduced. This has helped to alleviate any chafing or discomfort while walking. In addition, my inner thigh scars previously caused due to chafing have reduced to a large degree. This has helped reduce darker skin between my thighs and redness due to irritation.
Great Experience, Great Surgeon
I had an amazing experience with Dr. Rose. 8 months ago, I underwent total medial thigh liposuction. After years of being frustrated with severe chafing which left my inner thighs bleeding (which did not reduce with weight loss), I decided to seek out this option.
Upon my first visit with Dr. Rose, I noticed how approachable and attentive she was. I shared my frustrations regarding my thighs, and she examined my anatomy to decide if this was a viable option for me. She was fully honest, as she stated that while she could reduce my chafing, a "thigh gap" may not be promised. I was totally okay with this as a potential outcome, as my main concern was the chafing.
On the day of my surgery, I was a bit nervous. Dr. Rose noticed my nerves and reassured me. The post-op care instructions were comprehensive and easy to follow. I had many follow-up appointments (and one upcoming one at the 1-year mark) to ensure proper healing and body contour. In terms of scarring, this has already majorly improved and is comparable to the size of a mole.
I am very happy with my results. I now can walk without chafing at all. I was actually so happy when I first realized the outcome, I almost cried. As someone who has experienced skin infections, bleeding, and inflammation between my thighs for years, seeing a future without this was very transformative. I do also have a "thigh gap" now, so it's safe to say my expectations were exceeded.
I would recommend Dr. Rose to anyone considering plastic surgery. She is kind, welcoming, and inclusive of all people (I have learned she does gender-affirming care as well - amazing!). I had a great experience and am very happy with the outcome.
