Liposuction success —not gonna lie, it has been pretty painful so far

Hi there. I have had stubborn pockets of fat that, of course, seem to get harder and harder to lose. I actually had my lipo planned for March but it was postponed because of Covid-19.
I had the lipo yesterday in a surgery center at the doctor's office, so I didn't have to go into a hospital.I had lipo on my flanks, abdomen, arms, inner and outer thighs, inside knees, and my mons pubis. I would have gotten more dramatic results from a tummy tuck because I have loose skin there. Maybe I'll get one in the future, but I didn't want the scar at this time.Everything went smoothly yesterday, and by the time I got home I was so tired from the general anesthesia that I slept most the day.I am leaking tumescent fluid from my tiny insitions, so have to change gauze pads and put towels down in bed. It is better to leak the fluid out, though, to improve the swelling and bruising, and will only be oozing for one more day.Not gonna lie, it has been pretty painful so far. And the back of my legs are completely bruised, so standing up and sitting down is no fun. Oh well, I think I'm extra sore because I had so many areas done, and I know that this uncomfortable feeling will pass.Dr. Wald and his staff are amazing. He has a great, professional demeanor, and his team is always very nice. I'm including my before pics, but I'll give updates as my journey continues!

I didn't post my Pre-Op photos for your entertainment. I had my mons reduced, and am sharing these photos for other women to be informed that might want to have the same done for themselves. If you don't want to see "unpleasant" bodies, I suggest you stay away from the "before" photos of a plastic surgery website.

That was unkind. She posted the pictures so we could see her "before" picture and compare with her future posted "afterwards". If you are so uncomfortable with pictures of the human body maybe you shouldn't be on this site.

So I'm not leaking the tumescent fluids like I was the 1st couple days, so thats good! I also put on my compression garment and it really helps reduce the soreness. I did wake up a couple times in the night, and my awesome hubby gave me pain pills and fresh ice compresses. My thighs are COMPLETELY purple, and it hurts to sit down or come up from a lying down position. I'm sitting in a recliner now, and it is way easier to get in and out of. I've been drinking tons of water, so having a compression garment with the crotch open has been a godsend.

I am still swollen a lot...I look almost the same as i did before the lipo because of the swelling, but i know it will go down and I'll look slimmer day by day. The waiting is the hardest part! Lol

Hang in there! It gets better every day. Are you taking Arnica for the bruising? The sublingual tablets under the tongue four times a day really help with the bruise reduction. Also, Amazon sells a mars to Venus cup for peeing so you don't have to sit down, which I found was the most painful right after Lipo. It was a godsend!

Bruising update

Hiya. I had a regular shower yesterday which was, like, the best thing ever. I had been having a bit of additional seepage because I started laying on my side, to relieve the soreness of my back. I put band aids on the remaining stitches before I put on my compression garment again. I am actually going into the dr.s office to get all stitches out this afternoon.
The hardest part so far has been pain when I move positions, and especially when I stand up. I am really thankful that I worked on doing a lot of squats in preparation for the surgery because my legs feel weak enough as it is.
I would recommend to anyone getting more invasive lower body work like a thigh lift, tummy tuck, or BBL to do your arms separately, if possible. It is challenging to pull and push myself up, but you gotta do what u gotta do, right?
I weigh 4 lbs. more today than I did on surgery day, but that's normal since I'm so swollen. I'll update soon. Take care. :)

Thanks for sharing it's nice to see exactly how extensive the bruising can be. Hope you on the mend each day. I will continue to check back to see what end results are since I have wanted to have this done for about 3 yrs.

thanks for the weight info...I had smart lipo yesterday and my brain knows I am swollen but my heart was still hoping to have dropped a few pounds after seeing what they took out.
