Removal of Excess Axillary Tissue - Highly Recommend

After spending years showing different doctors the growing lump under each of my armpits that became even more visible when I wore tops with thin straps, I was constantly misdiagnosed or told to see another doctor for the issue. Every doctor I met until Dr. Preminger told me that the lump was nothing to worry about or that they did not recommend removing it. One plastic surgeon even told me that he didn't believe it was safe because the removal of the excess tissue would lead to lymphedema for the rest of my life. After seeing that doctor, I convinced myself that having surgery to remove the excess tissue was not worth it or safe. 4 years later, the lumps continued to grow and I became extremely self-conscious and would avoid wearing certain clothing that called attention to the lumps. Due to encouragement from my boyfriend, I decided to research whether other women faced the same issue. Since I never had luck finding solutions to this issue when I Googled "armpit lumps" or "excess breast tissue," I decided to look at a sonogram I had done on the area a few years prior to see how it described that area of my anatomy. Since the sonogram mentioned "axilla/axillary," I decided to use that search term in Google along with "excess tissue." This allowed me to find doctors who had experience with removing this type of excess tissue from the armpit area.

Eventually, I found Dr. Preminger's website which was one of the few websites with 'before and after' photos for this surgery. However, I was still skeptical about the safety of the surgery based on the plastic surgeon I had seen a few years prior. After some additional research, I stumbled upon a medical journal article that stated that this type of procedure was safe and that Dr. Preminger was one of the leading surgeons in this area. Her experience with her patients was cited in the article, which is what ultimately led me to book a consultation with her.

During the consultation, I expressed all of my fears to Dr. Preminger and asked a laundry list of questions and she was happy to answer all of them. She even reassured me that the other plastic surgeon's concerns were not valid and that she had been performing this procedure on countless women for a long period of time. Fortunately, none of them had ever informed her that the lumps grew back after surgery.

Before the surgery, Dr. Preminger came into my pre-operation room personally to make me feel comfortable and continued to be a caring surgeon from that day onwards. I've had countless follow-up appointments since and am extremely happy with the results of the excision/liposuction surgery. I'm finally able to wear all of the clothing I desire and I have Dr. Preminger to thank for regaining my confidence. I highly recommend her to anyone seeking plastic surgery because she is extremely professional, very accommodating and has a great bedside manner.
