My surgery was august 15, 2019. Liposuction of upper and lower abdominal, flanks, and upper back. I asked for a very curvy waist. I went in at 830am and got out around 1pm.
Day of:
I got light headed from being hot because they had to put a heating blanket on me while the anesthesia nurse talked to me. I was under that blanket for atleast 40 minutes. When the doctor came in to mark me I got light headed after 20 minutes and had to sit down and the anesthesia nurse had to get fluids in me before the doctor came back in to mark up the rest of my body. I think it was the combination of not eating and drinking hours before the surgery and the heat. Once I was marked up, I was given the liquid that makes you sleep. Felt like a good 40 minute nap to me.
After I was out, the nurse put me in a reclining chair and gave me Sprite, gin ale, and crackers. She said if I ate it I could get more pain medicine. I asked for more pain meds 3 times. I was in pain, pain level was like a 8 out of 10. I wanted to stay reclined in the chair, couldn't sit up because the incisions above my vagina were the worse.
I left to go to my friends house. The pain was tolerable there after I took the medication prescribed, hydrocodone. I was up walking every hour, it was the walk of a pregnant woman because of the pain and how much swelling I had, made me look pregnant. I was drinking 12oz of water every hour too.
The pain was a 6 out of 10. It hurt more when I had to try to get into bed, but once I chose my position in bed I was ok. I felt okay standing up too. I slept on my sides, 1 hour on my left side and the next hour on my right side. Sleeping on my back was more painful/sensitive.

Official Day 1
Sensible549August 17, 2019
My size before surgery: 4'11 and 134 pounds. I gained 10 pounds, the heaviest I have been. I never knew my waist size before sucking in my stomach so I can't give you an honest answer on what my pre surgery true waist size was. Doctor said he took out 3 liters of fat.
I needed to take meds every 3 to 4 hours. Getting in and out of bed was the worse of the pain. Laying in bed and walking wasnt painful though. Haven't had a bowel movement, but I have been taking stool softener pills.
I was able to walk around the neighborhood for 5-10 minutes very slowly. Haven't taken the garment off yet or showered.
It was very hard to eat a full meal. I nimbled on some fruit and grits.
Wearing a black maxi dress for the 1st two days was helpful and smart. I also bought black soft blankets and a black comforter so you couldn't see the fluid leaking on anything.

Day 2 post op shower time!
Sensible549August 17, 2019
Today was the day I could take my garment off for the 1st time to shower. I was excited to be clean and feel the water on my skin and to take the garment off. I knew it would probably be painful taking the garment off though.
I waited until 11am. My pain was at 5/10 and instead of taking my pain killers every 4 hours I was now pushing it to every 6 hours.
I could bend slowly and get out of bed easier now. I was feeling better.
I wanted to try to take the garment off myself instead of getting help. Peeled at my arms first, easy. Then my stomach, kind of easy. By my vagina was the troubling part. It was swollen and always the most painful, but I got through it without too much pain. I looked good, hurt swollen, and my skin felt so weird. Felt like I removed my bones and needed to put them back because I might melt. Lol
I tried getting the shower, but was so lightheaded and felt faint. Quickly got out and sat on the floor to drink water. Called my doctor and he said it was normal.
Instructed me to remove my bandaids and leave them off. I opted for a quick bird bath instead of full shower, my friend helped bathe me. True friendship there!
After drinking more than 12oz of water on the floor and my garment dont washing, I was ready to try to put it back on. I did it by myself.
At this point I could walk around more, quicker, and more upright, I could flex the bottom of my stomach, and my back and butt werent as sensitive as yesterday. The pain is now a 4/10.
Before, I could sit upright on my butt with my back against anything. I had to be laying down on either side of myself. Now I can sit Indian style, legs crossed, with my back against a chair. Also, I drove home by myself this day. Wasnt bad.

i felt the same on my day 2 first shower! i was having hot flashes and my skin felt weird and numb. you are not alone : )
My problem is that I dont drink enough water in general so I probably did not drink enough the night before.
Many doctors do things so differently. I do love how my doctor has many follow up checks every 3-4 days after the surgery.
