Day 6 Post Op
Well since my procedure I am being seen everyday and being treated for my bruising. I had my second massage and lord I just wanted to die but afterwards it did help with the pain and swelling today I have another follow up and massage . this healing process is long and I know that I still have more to deal with. But EvolutionMD is doing a great job taking care of me and I know that I am in good hands. I will take more pictures today and post them soon.
Still healing
Well ladies this is no joke on the day of my first follow up appointment I was very swollen and was starting to bruise so the Nurse Practitioner gave me prescription,a cream and oxygen therapy which is inserting a small needle on the surface of my skin where the bruises are and letting oxygen in it actually made my bruises turn pink. She also said not to wear my faja . All this was on Saturday on Monday she saw me again and I did the doctor. They repeated the same treatment and today which is Tuesday I have to be seen again I am very swollen and more bruised sleeping is not possible and the pain is worse. The pain medication isn’t really helping all hey gave me was ibuprofen I think I need something stronger.
Day 1 of Postoperative
Well ladies I made it. I had my surgery yesterday it was originally scheduled for 12:00 pm but it was so busy with new consultations, follow up, and surgeries before mine I think I was the last one to be seen. Well when I got there I was asked to give a sample of urine for a pregnancy and drug test . I was weighed and then sent back to the waiting room. I think it must have been 1:30 when I was called back to change I then had my blood pressure checked which was very high so they gave my something for that the nurse also gave me my sedatives had pictures taken and then waited for the doctor to come in and mark me. Then I was taken to the operating room was given a saline lock Incase I should need additional medication or an IV( fluid). When the doctor began I really did not feel much in the abdominal area, I did feel some pain on my flanks, but lord the worst pain was my back!!!!! Thank God for those nurses especially the male nurse he held my hand all through the back procedure and he would give me verbal support as well he was really great. The two other nurses that were to assist me with medication and getting ready were so sweet and even made me laugh. When I finally got home my husband just continued with my care and let me say I am one lucky women he prepared a delicious chicken and vegetable soup, gave me lots of fluids to drink , and was on top of me medication, he helped me get up to urinate which ladies that was all night it’s a good thing I bought the female urinal so I could pee standing up. I also emptied the drainage ballon twice the first time it was just red fluid but now I can actually see chunks of fat coming out yuck! I will be post pictures later. My follow up appointment is today at 2:30 so my husband will give me a sponge bath and was my garment at 11:00 am. I can’t wait this part of the journey is really yucky and uncomfortable because the garment is stained, wet, and smelly. I also have my first massage today as well. I will post more pictures later on but so far so good.
