Liposuction in Iran - Still Debating if It Was Worth It (Partially my Fault!

From a muscular 80kg > bulky 100kg > skinny fat 80kg > wobbly 95kg over the last few years recently I realised there were areas that it just wasn't shifting. My wife being Persian and us heading there for a holiday made the decision I will have Lipo there 6 weeks ago. She asked the questions and I ended up booking in for my inner thighs (to stop rubbing), full 360 (back/flanks/abs) and chest (just lipo). to have all this (including hospital) for about 2000 euro sounded too good to be true!
I never met the surgeon until 30 mins or so before the surgery, it was all photos and messages via whatsapp. It ended up being in a private hospital in Ahvaz (southwest Iran, much cheaper than Tehran and near my wife's hometown) - everything looked new and fancy at the front of the hotel - but once getting to the back though everything it had a 1980's vibe (and cleanliness) to it, bit of a red flag. My wife wasn't allowed further than one section so I then had to rely on google translate to help as no one spoke English - a traumatic experience if you're in a hospital for surgery, trust me! Being wheeled into the operating theatre I saw it was just a standard tumescent lipo machine too - we were told it was the latest ulrasound machine...another red flag..
Took 5hrs, and after recovery I was in excruciating pain - apparently he couldnt find much fat in my inner thighs so decided he would completely do 360 on my upper legs as i had paid for it(?!) and MAN did it hurt! The total lipo they took out 8L of tumescent fluid and fat, so no idea on exactly how much pure fat (thinking 3-4kg based on my current weight). I never saw the surgeon again, I had no nurse to help instruct any drain, and the compression gear was just a bloodied bandage and an ab brace...I then had 6 days of constant blood and fluid drain out my 13 holes before the flight back home. I'd managed to get some shapewear in the meantime but still not proper full compression garments. So yes, my complete bad for not researching the postcare needs properly - but also I was never told anything of what to expect! I was going for a short walk every 3 hours or so, but it was just so insanely painful to move, and my lower back was also like a thousand knives stabbing. (the rest ok). The flight home had my legs swell badly to me needing a different seat offered by the staff...
So the first few weeks of not a proper drain, no proper compression garments, plus long flight (and also maybe not walking as much as I should have) has not set me well. I'm now 3 weeks having lymph drain massages but I have many hard areas on my thighs/flanks. My lower back is still partially numb but getting better, but still alot of fluid there it feels like.
I've paid for 2 different lipo surgeons to look at the job now, both said it was a good job (1 said it was aggressive on the flanks but all else fine), but I still have no idea on why I was (and still am to a degree) in so much pain - all other reports just say "minimal" pain, but I could hardly move my legs, nor get in/out of a car without near screaming..Currently if i move my hand quickly on my abs or lower back it causes a sharp pain, and still any quick shocks on my legs hurt.
Yesterday we paid about 6000 euro for my wife just to have her thighs done in Singapore - and wow what a difference! good hospital to start with (and understandable lol), nurses immediately gave a drain and supplies pain meds and compression garments, today back there for a recheck too etc - plus she is in hardly any pain and could easily walk out of there an hour after (vaser) surgery!...Yes I got mine so so so so much cheaper than what most people get - but in hindsight if I just stuck back to my diet to drop the main weights again, then just targeted one spot for a good quality Lipo then I really think i'd prefer that...
My hard lumps I don't think is fibrosis yet, it's like a firm putty that i can push into and see my finger indentation, just a few areas of light lumps. I'm hoping i'm following the correct method to help - I use a massage gun 2 times a day on the hard areas, plus getting Lymph drains 1 to 2 times a week for the last few weeks, so I hope that the next month or two i'm much better!
