How it works
  • Our highly-trained Review Moderation team evaluates all reviews before they're published to ensure they're written by people like you and not a member of a doctor's office.
  • This multi-step process takes up to 24 hours from review submission to publication.
  • Doctors can't pay to have reviews removed or hidden.
  • Reviews are only removed at the reviewer's request or if they violate our Terms of Service.

Skip Artlipo

This is not Artlipo but get you in and out lipo. Dr Su hires out of state Doctors to provide procedures that he does not have time to do or does not want to do. Dr. Su claims to perform a specialized form of Lipo using smaller instruments with more precise movements and in a slower time frame to insure accurate fat removal. Not going under general anesthesia makes it possible for him to take his time. He charges twice the amount for this kind of Liposuction. The Doctor that did my procedure did not provide this kind of liposuction. He works at a Bella in Chicago. I got a basic Bella Lipo for twice the cost. Everyone was very nice but the procedure was not what I expected, had issues and the results were less than pleasing. I waited a year after my procedure to write a review because I was hoping my results would improve but that did not. The Chicago Doctor told me numerous times that I was a 2 out of 10 (10 being the most difficult) and this was going to be soo easy. During the procedure, He was pleasant but was talking Spanish to the nurses. I felt alienated and uneasy, ( this is not an Asian Nail Salon). At one point, in English, he asked another nurse if they can call his next patient to see if they can come in early because he was finishing up early. He used regular sized instruments and never once took his time. He was very rough and kept hitting my ribs causes pain. At times he was pushing the instruments around inside my stomach while not even looking down to see what he was doing. He ended up being far more rough than I expected and paid for. It was very painful despite the numbing and pain meds. He put tape over my stomach after the procedure but then a nurse came in and ripped the tape off...the pain was so horrible, I almost cried. The nurse felt so bad but said that Dr Su doesn't use tape. Well Dr. Su was not there. This tape torture happened twice. The follow up didn't go much better but to make a long story short I won't get into those details. I was left with red blotches under the skin and with a bumpy and dimply midsection a year later. I followed all instruction for recovery and wore compression garments for twice the amount of time suggested because my recovery was so uncomfortable and painful. I had rib pain for 6 months thinking he may have bruised my ribs. I went for a scheduled year follow up only to be told that they had no appointment for me because the Doctor from Chicago no longer works for them. I was told that I could wait a half an hour for Dr. Su. I agreed because I wanted to know what he thought about the outcome of my procedure.Dr Su felt that my outcome was typical, expected and the only real issue I had was loose skin. He compared the pictures and said he saw improvement. I think I actually look worse. The picture show slight improvement with fat loss but the overall look was worse. I felt like I was getting gaslighted. I was going to complain about not getting the procedure I paid for but didn't. I was just too disappointed and felt like it was my fault because I should have done more research about Artlipo. Just because you pay more does not mean you are going to get better. 10,000$ lesson learned. I will never get another invasive cosmetic procedure done again. I have come to learn that many of the doctors in this kind of practice are money conscience and do not care about outcome or patients.
