Great Doctor, HORRIBLE STAFF
Unfortunately I have to rate her 2 stars based ONLY on her staff. I just got Lipo and although I truly believe she did a great job, I don’t understand how her entire staff is THAT unprofessional. Mind you, one of the papers you sign is a social media consent stating you’re not allowed to speak negatively on the doctor, results etc., it’s a shame that dobak’s work is so incredible but gets diminished due to her subpar and inadequate staff. Let’s start with her surgical coordinator Juliet. Juliet lacks the communication skills a surgical coordinator needs to have. I constantly had to be on top of her to get my paperwork for labs. As a surgical coordinator if a patient never responds back to an email you sent, I would imagine there would be some type of phone call to ensure I received it. But not a single phone call. Thank god for my personal coordinator ANA that basically stood as the middle man because I could never really ever speak to Juliet. At my pre op, dowbak mentioned to me I could be second to operate and to expect a 5:30/6AM start time and to wait for “someone” to text me a confirmation. The txt I received from Juliet was at 9:45PM telling me a completely different time (8AM). When I wouldn’t respond to her txt accepting the time, she then called me half an hour later and simply answered the phone as “yes?” I told her my issue and she basically told me there’s nothing she could do and that she was with her family. She provided me ZERO solutions even when I had made arrangements for my care based on 6am start time. Surgery day comes. All is well. Get my 1st massage...everything goes well, upon leaving I decide to ask what day and time is my next massage and simply was told “they’ll text you”...came home and around 6pm I txtd ANA to let her know no one had contacted me yet and she assured me someone would, and if not I could show up (since it was just a massage) and wouldn’t be refused so long as it was before 12PM. The following day I wake up to a txt (sent at 12:34AM) stating my massage was for that day at 8AM. It was 7:30 when I woke up so i basically had half hour to get up, get ready and head to the clinic which was 20 min away, and get my massage. Obviously I didn’t make the 8AM time but it’s ok because I wouldn’t get “refused”. NOT! I took an Uber there, signed in and they made me wait a whole 20 min before they told me I couldn’t be seen. Mind you there was NO ONE being massaged, all the doors were open so I could see no one was there. I told the front desk girl how inconvenient and unprofessional This was and shocked by no one trying to even help. I mentioned to her she sent me the txt at 12:30AM and how it was extremely unfair considering I just paid for an Uber to go there for no reason. Her only response was “I’m sorry love” After being brought to TEARS, I asked if I could get a massage at NEW LIFE, and the front desk said “I think so” so I told her she needs to call and be sure since they have already wasted my time and money driving there, I didn’t want the same situation to happen at new life. They confirmed that they had time to give me a massage so I had to call another Uber. Like I mentioned this review could have gotten 5 stars because I truly believe Dobak does amazing work but it’s really unfortunate at the quality of staff she has around her. I don’t believe that the price u pay for surgery should get you better or worse treatment as a patient but the entire staff, especially Juliet needs a whole course in bedside manner, professionalism and how to treat patients.
