4 week update

Still experiencing stiffness and swelling. The good news is that I can walk easily and am not needing to take any pain medication. Walking up to 2 miles a day walking the dog. Feeling great! Legs look better every day. Waiting on the last of the scans to fall off. Using Mederma on the incision scars as well. Bruising is very minimal at this point.

3 week post op

Things are going well this week. I am able to walk almost normally and have very minimal pain. The worst part is in the morning due to stiffness.
I was given the go ahead not to wear my garments all day, but due to swelling, I’m choosing to still wear them all day and remove before bed.
I’m able to walk my dog with ease for about 30+ mins a day and don’t feel the need to constantly have ice packs on.
I still have swelling and stiffness in both calves, but feel like walking helps loosen them up.
My scabs are still healing but look almost ready to fall off.
That’s all for now.

2 weeks post op

I am officially two weeks out and feeling great. I still have quite a bit of bruising on both legs, however the incisions are healing and getting smaller by the day. Most are scabbed over. My legs look worse than they feel at this point. I take Advil in the morning and then before bed.

My one complaint is that my calves are both very hard and swollen . The swelling in my ankles and feet has subsided thankfully. I find that massaging my calves while in the hot shower helps break up the tightness and also doing light stretches throughout the day helps. Still feeling some numbness in both legs, mostly in the swollen calf area.

Occasionally I’ll feel a small zap here and there which im told is normal and the nerves reconnecting. Not painful by any means, just a bit startling when it happens so quickly.

I’m able to walk normally, but find anything over about 30 mins on my feet is about my limit otherwise my legs get very swollen. I can go up and down stairs with ease and even took my dog to the beach for an hour with no trouble. I’m still wearing my compression garnet 22+ hours a day. I do tire easily and try hard to listen to my body. By 8pm my legs are ready to be elevated and rested.

My two week check in is tomorrow so will keep you posted on how that goes.all in all I’d say comparing myself to other reviews I’m right where I should be at this point post op.
