Dr. Huettner is the Best of the Best!
Dr. Franziska Huettner has performed extensive liposuction procedures on me, as well as buccal fat pad reduction and curative (non-cosmetic) procedures (excising lipomas and skin lesions). Her work was flawless each time. She has a serious research background and also seems very knowledgeable about other fields of medicine, in addition to the latest developments in cosmetic surgery.
Dr. Huettner's bedside manner is extraordinary: she is punctual, prepared, patient and kind; the most caring of all healthcare professionals I ever met. She puts you at ease, genuinely listens, and takes your concerns seriously. She even answered e-mails as soon as her schedule allowed. She takes pride in the quality of her work and long-term outcomes, and isn't afraid to talk you out of a procedure if it doesn't serve your best interests. It's great to be able to trust your doctor's judgment on which treatments are worth doing.
Her staff is also great, and their integrity has been exemplary. Case in point: they refunded me for a substantial fee difference (OR fee lower than expected) that I had no clue about. While Dr. Huettner didn't take my insurance for the medical procedures, her staff helped submit for out-of-network benefits and insurance pre-authorization - this didn't always go smoothly, but the goodwill was there and we eventually figured it out.
I'm grateful that Dr. Huettner was able to coordinate with her colleague Dr. Lawrence Bass, another great surgeon, so I was able to get two procedures (each done by an expert of the relevant area) with the downtime of one.
As a younger man, I'm a little shy to recommend a plastic surgeon, but believe me that Dr. Huettner and her team are worth it. I can't thank them enough. If you can work with her, look no further.
