Dr. Hamwi Is Simply The Best

I still have some swelling but definitely enjoying how my clothes fit!

Dr. Hamwi and his staff are AMAZING! Thank you Scarlet for everything leading up to my surgery and Sia for everything during and after. Dr. Hamwi I will never stop saying thank you and how happy I am! I have personally worked with Dr. Hamwi in the past as his surgical assistant during his lipo cases so I knew I was going to be in good hands. I am 4 weeks post op from having lipo with Dr. Hamwi. Because of my BMI we are performing my lipo in 2 steps. The first lipo procedure was hips, waist, and mid back and I could not be happier. I have PCOS and losing weight makes it very hard for me. I have tried all types of diets and even diet pills. Dr. Hamwi gave me a shape I could never achieve on my own. My clothes fit so much better now. I had surgery on 7/15/2021. I flew in from Texas the day before and stayed at EVEN hotel in Sarasota which is less than 10 mins from Dr. Hamwi's office. I have to say carbing up the night before was rough for me because I have cut a lot of carbs from my diet. The morning of surgery again I had to carb up at 6:30am and man oh man that was no fun L.O.L. I arrived at Dr. Hamwi's office at 7:00am. I met Dr. Hamwi and his PA Sia at the front door. We went into the pre op room to complete vitals, take pre op medication, review areas of lipo in front of the mirror, and take photos. We then went into the surgery room and we started the procedure about 8:15am. This is not my first time having lipo as Dr. Hamwi did my arms and upper back 3/20/2019 but I was worried about the discomfort when it comes to the hips,waist, and back area. I can honestly say that the procedure was totally tolerable. The lidocaine injection I did not even feel. During the numbing process there were some pinches and stings but again tolerable. There were some areas on my flanks that were ticklish. Dr. Hamwi had me stand up a few times to check how my shape was looking and each time I could not believe what I was seeing. Dr. Hamwi finished lipo about 11am. I was back to my hotel by 12pm. I slept most of the day. Dr. Hamwi stressed the importance of resting, drinking water to stay hydrated, and eating carbs. I only used my pain medication that night and by morning I was able to drive to my next day follow up. I was shocked to see my new shape even though I was puffy. I flew back to Texas that evening and took one more pain pill while on the flight. I was off pain medication by Saturday morning. I did swell pretty fast but everyone is different. I have to say the hardest thing after surgery was the garment when having to go to the bathroom. I have attached my pre op and 10 day post op photo and a few others.
