Dr. Hamwi and Chelsea C.S.T were wonderful! I had a Lipo procedure done before at Sonobello 10 years prior and I can tell you it is not worth the money to go to these type of places. I had lumps in my abdomen and just weird leftover fat pockets that were more noticeable when I worked out and lost weight. I knew that I had 1 more shot to get this right since I didn't want a bunch of scar tissue from going too often to get things "fixed". I saw Dr. Hamwi at Artlipo's videos on YouTube and was sold!! I love that they have you awake and he stands you up to see areas that he may need to do more work on to get your shape proportioned and remove as much fat as possible. (They had me asleep at the other place and laid on the table the whole time, they never saw what I looked like when I stood up to be sure I was even). I will be honest and say that the awake procedure was a bit uncomfortable, not really due to pain, but it is just a weird feeling with the cannula, but I much rather make sure it is done right. Chelsea was assisting him and she was great! During the procedure she kept me calm and Dr. Hamwi was fun to talk to the whole time! They both did a great job at keeping me distracted during the procedure and he constantly would check if I was okay and would take breaks when necessary. Chelsea takes the time to followup with me every two weeks and advises of the changes I should be experiencing at each milestone. My recovery has been easy with all changes taking place as expected. They boast on their site about using a technique to remove as much fat as possible rather than only partially removing fat and you can definitely tell the difference. I agree that the ArtLipo technique has caused my skin to adhere much better to my frame than other procedures where they don't remove enough fat risking weird lumps that are not visual as you are lying down. They are a bit more expensive than a place like Sonobello but you definitely get what you pay for. I was working out/lifting weights faithfully for years and I know that I would have never achieved my ideal shape with diet and exercise alone. I could not make my waist and small of my back shrink-in giving me the hourglass figure I have always wanted. The more I worked the more my waist and hips would stay in the same proportion to each other. The lower back lipo procedure really does accentuate the buttocks making it look like you had a butt-lift. the best part is you can see the work they do for yourself on youtube and will be blown away, go see for yourself. I will followup with before and after pictures soon. I was waiting to get to 6 weeks so the swelling would have come down enough to give accurate photos.

Received liposuction from Dr. Hamwi 10/19/23. At the beginning of the procedure, he injects numbing agents into the treatment area, as many other patients have described, this is the "worst part". Surprisingly even this tumescent injection process was more tolerable than anticipated, would objectively say the pain and discomfort level did not exceed 3/10. Denaisea, the assistant, was present the entire time and would help distract you from this process. Everything after this was smooth sailing. To be honest, during the procedure I felt so comfortable I began to become sleepy, haha. And was already planning future procedures with Dr. Hamwi even whilst the canula was inside my body!

I am a "veteran" when it comes to getting elective surgeries and have had experience with many acclaimed surgeons, Dr. Hamwi is the most calm, patient and humble doctor I have come across. He takes his time, communicates expectations clearly, and boy does he deliver! To anyone considering getting any procedures with Dr. Hamwi, rest assured you are in good hands, 10/10 recommended.

My experience with Dr. Hamwi far exceeded my expectations. He and his staff are amazing. They genuinely care about your surgery and aftercare. The communication between Dr. Hamwi and myself has been wonderful. He truly cares and takes the time to listen.

My arms have been a source of embarrassment for many years. I researched extensively for a surgeon who had results that impressed me. I'm realistic yet selective about whom I entrust to do surgery on my body. Although I live out of state, it was well worth the travel to get my beautiful "new" arms.

All that said, I 100% recommend Dr. Hamwi and will go to him for any procedures that I may decide to do in the future. He is exceptional!

I am not sure where to start. Dr.Hamwi’s bedside manner is beyond what I could have expected. After my liposuction procedure, he gave me his personal cell and every time I called with any problem, he listened, comforted and addressed all my concerns no matter how little they were. There was a very small area that really bothered me, after I healed. This could have been because I didn’t follow all post operative instructions of not lifting anything. Anyway, Dr. Hamwi fixed my small problem area with fat grafting just to ease my mind. He did this free of charge and completely restored my confidence! Also, the staff in his office were so comforting and friendly. The nurse, Danaisa even called me a few times to check in on my recovery. I was able to text her anytime I had a question. If you are looking for a plastic surgeon who genuinely cares, is compassionate, and very knowledgeable, Dr.Hamwi is phenomenal! You won’t regret it. My results are so natural!

First , I’ll say that Dr. Hamwi is a perfectionist! He is amazing at what he does. I’m so mad that I did not find him sooner on my journey. He is funny, he checks up on you and (my experience) the procedure was painless!!!! I’ve had many procedures and none have gone as smoothly as this. Dr. Hamwi explained what he was doing the entire time throughout the procedure and I like that I am awake to say a can you take out a little more here please LOL…

Changed my life. He’s so happy, warm, extroverted, and artistic. Uses modern techniques not used by others. Reasonable costs. Doesn’t upswell. Great follow up. Felt special. Terrific results. Love this practice.

I got awake lipo 360 from Dr. Hamwi a week ago and I couldn’t have had a better experience. From the time I reached out, I had a call from him and an appointment scheduled within the week. His nurse called me 2 weeks before my surgery and answered any questions I had. She was kind and patient with me and made sure before we got off the phone that I was comfortable with all the information I had been given. The day of my surgery was a breeze. Both Dr. hamwi and his nurse Danaisa were absolute angels and made me very comfortable the entire procedure. They both made sure I was not in any pain and talked to me the entire time to ensure I was calm and okay during the surgery. The post op appointment was just as wonderful as the experiences above. I could not be happier with my results a week out, and I know they will only get better. This team is kind, professional, and truly go the extra mile to make sure you’re not only happy, but safe. 10/10 experience.

I had a video consultation with Dr Hamwi from out of state. Loved I got to see and speak with him. He answered all my questions and explained realistic outcomes. I scheduled and made arrangements to fly in.

Surgery day arrived and while checking in, Dr Hamwi came into the lobby to say HI and even told my husband they would take good care of me. So sweet. He introduced me to his nurse and said she would take me back. In a room we went over medical history, vitals, ect. Then she explained all the meds i would be taking. Percocet, Gabapentin, valium, Promethazine and antibiotic. Then gave me my surgical attire to change into and pulled a big plush robe out of a warmer! It was fabulous. Some socks and fuzzy slippers too.

Then Dr H came in. His name really should be Dr Happy. Always in such a good mood. Anyway, standing me in front of a mirror he talked out the procedure and made his markings on me. A little conversation, then he grabbed the robe and held it for me to put it back on. He is such a gentleman! He said he would see me shortly and we would get started.



His nurse took me into the surgical room, did skin prep and got me set up on a heated table. Then Dr H came in, we had a little chat and then he got started with my numbing injections all around my torso. I was initially nervous about this part as a previous lipo Dr did not buffer the lidocaine and their injections hurt like hell. Surprisingly I didn't feel anything. Like nothing! I even had to ask if he buffered his lidocaine. He said oh yes. This may be a bit technical but as a former nurse, this was very important!

After the initial injections he started with very small incisions to infuse the tumescent fluid mix. Again a bit nervous due to my bad experience with another Dr. But pleasantly suprised I was very very comfortable. Thank goodness for buffering! He was constantly talking and engaging in conversation with me and his nurse. We talked about the recent hurricane, kids and Halloween. He was always checking in to see what i was feeling and to rate any discomfort on a 1-10 scale. I was typically at a 3. You can feel a but of weird movement but not pain. One time he got into some scar tissue from previous lipo that was kinda hard to get through. Twice I felt a little sting in the same spot. He said that was no good and said ne would go to another spot and let the tender spot numb for bit and come back. I so appreciated that he was very aware of any discomfort and immediately addressed it.



After the infusion, he switched to the liposuction cannula. It vibrates and I found oddly felt kinda like a massage? Sounds weird. Also whenever he got near the sides of my ribs the vibration tickled and I just sat there and laughed. He asked if was ticklish. Yep...lol. Didn't expect to be laughing through this.

Once or twice during the procedure he had me stand up in front of a mirror to look at things and adjust anything.



Soon enough we were all done. I got cleaned up, they custome cut some lipofoam to wrap all the way around my torso and got me in compression.



I for back to my hotel and rested most of the day. Pretty comfortable. Kinda felt like I did an ab workout. I felt like a burrito wrapped up snug.



Next day post op went well and thing were already shrinking up and looking great.



First 10 days I had to stay in foam and compression. That burrito feeling gets a bit old but sure helped to shrink my waist right down. Yay!



After the 10 days the normal compression is actually pretty comfortable. Stayed in that for 6 weeks and restricted activities.



Now 4 months out things are sooo good! I went from Sad to Fab..ulous! I'm thrilled with my feminine curves. He really has a great eye. Also my skin is smooth.



As a former nurse I have worked around lots of doctors. I have never been more impressed! His skill and pleasant personality are top notch. It's a rare combination. I also appreciate his credentials. Double board certified surgeon, in the top of his class, Harvard...say what, and hospital privileges. Highly recommend!
