Bye Bye Belly

I am 9 months out now and i can tell you that this was hands down a fantastic idea for me. I'm absolutely thrilled with my body. They always say it isn't a weight loss surgery which seems odd but they are right. I only lost 2 pounds from the procedure, but what really matters is the reshaping of my body which was dramatic. I no longer have the protruding belly that I've had since puberty. Even when i was stick thin. Since the procedure, I've lost another 10 pounds and am now at my goal weight - what i weighed in high school. I've never been so happy with my body. I am very thankful to Dr Marosan and his staff for helping me achieve a body I've always wanted.

Couple of great updates happened yesterday: I had my 2 week post op and was told that I can start removing my foam pads - Yes! If i start swelling back up significantly then i'll have to put them back in but so far so good.
I'll need to continue to wear my garment for the next couple of weeks but was also told that on the super hot days coming up - I can take it off during the day if needed and then just put it back on at night.
Additionally, i was told that I can shave again - thank goodness!!
And when I arrived home - a package of super cute outfits I had purchased had been delivered. Eeee! It included a bunch of crop tops and tight dresses. I've never worn crop tops before in my life but now I am SO excited and want to wear them ALL the time. I had the absolute best time trying everything on.
I'm so happy with my new body & am starting to kick myself for not doing this years ago. My new problem is trying to figure out how to have enough $ to buy all the cute clothes I want so I can show off my flat tummy. lol

Like the title says, i'm doing so much better. Every day is a little bit easier and better. We have been keeping up with the daily massages, and i've been taking iburpofen. both have helped with the swelling and reduce the discomfort by a significant amount. I was even able to cinch my garment to the second clip level on day 9. My girl parts are no longer overly swollen and they are also back to normal color - no more scary purple or red discoloring.
I've been sleeping well and while i do get tired during the day, i'm feeling much more hopeful.
I still look a little like what i call a dinosaur when i take off the garment/foam and show the ridges i get from the swelling being pushed to the sides but it's not that bad. i am exciting to see what i look like in a week when the amount of swelling starts to significantly go down.
