Final post - 6 months!
Six months have now passed. I am generally happy with my results. My stomach is not flat and will probably never be flat. I can wear a lot more clothes now and don’t have drastic lumps. My scars are mostly gone along the bikini line but still show under the breast. I don’t know if the surgery was worth the cost. It was worth the pain, since it was only really bad the first few days. Sometimes when I exercise, my stomach feels strange. Otherwise, all feeling is back to normal.
This will be my final post related to this surgery. Good luck!

14 weeks!
I am now fully recovered! At my 12 week appointment, I was told I no longer need to wear the compression garment. I got a prescription to help fade the scars (another big expense - $120).
To be honest, I am happy with my results, but do I regret spending over $10,000 to get them? Probably. I didn’t end up with a flat stomach, and I’m not sure the expensive massages and custom garment helped anything. I followed instructions exactly as they were given, but the level of fat removed didn’t meet my ultimate hopes. Maybe over the next few months I will see additional change, but not expecting anything major. I am more confident now and can fit into my old clothes. My scars are pretty obvious, so can’t wear a two piece suit yet.
I will update again in a couple months!

6 weeks follow-up
I had my 6 week follow-up visit today! The doctor said everything looks great and my swelling is down everywhere except around my belly button. He is hoping that will still reduce over time and recommended the garment for another couple weeks. I’ve been wearing it 24 hours still.
I have completed 7 massages, and have one more scheduled. I’ve also been getting my garment adjusted every two weeks. I am happy with my results, even if my stomach isn’t completely flat, it is a huge improvement from where I started. I still have some numbness and it feels strange when I do not have my garment on. No pain or bruising left. I’ve gone back to some higher intensity workouts. I have another follow up at 12 weeks.
