Poor Sculpting

My experience was pretty shocking. I sent photos from all angles and got a quote o $12000 for a 360. At the time did not know the term 360 so the quote was specific to body parts, upper, lower back, waist, upper lower abs. I'm fit but had some extra weight around my middle (size 10-14 Aus, depending on brand) that was not moving. He added a neck option for $2000 but I declined.

On the day of the procedure when I was standing there marked up and naked and had paid they informed me that they could not do all the areas due to a limit in what they could do in one setting outside of a hospital.(This was just before they moved to their hospital). There was no apologies or discount offers for the service I was not getting that was agreed in the contract. Standing there naked and marked up was not a good way to learn this. The surgery went ahead. 

Afterwards I was real concerned as what I got was more a 270 and I was clear that I wanted a 360 and all that was specified in contract. We organised to have me come back the next day and pay more to finish it and he threw in a chin/neck lipo for about $6500. At this stage I opted for the chin to feel like I was getting something than a few thousand dollars. Dr. Aranov did most of my first procedure and Dr. Lanzer came in at the end and did some 'abs' which I did not ask for and not sure I like. They look quite unnatural and as they healed cannula marks and bumps began to show. But at first they looked ok and all up a pretty good job on what was done it seemed. 

The next procedure was a shocker. We agreed on upper lower back, waist a bit of arms and jawline. It was not a lot in some of the areas. Meant to be more sculpting. This time it was just Dr. Lanzer doing the work. They all but shooed me out at the end as they were busy that day and short on space in their old office.When I got home I was in shock. I could see he over did some of the areas and under did others. there was a few areas that were literal holes while others appeared hardly touched. It was like the work that he warns about and repairs from overseas. 

What was especially concerning was my jawline or should I say jowl line because I can not cover my face (this was Jan 2020). He literally did not follow may jawline but backed off where jowls would be giving me worse jowls than when I started. They literally popped out and what was just neck looked like big jowls. He kept making excuses and telling me it was swelling. After 6 months when the swelling excuse was not working I saw him and he offered to do jowls for $2000 but said I really needed a mini face lift. So you see here...one surgery was leading to another. I lost my temper and really let him know how cruel and shonky I thought it had all been. 

I am not rich and just wanted a 360 (partly due to a bad tummy tuck with no lipo 10 years ago after my 4th kid) and now my cost is doubling and I am looking at a third surgery with no guarantee that would be satisfying. He finally relented to touch up my jawline and was talking about this being a face surgery implying he had done below the jawline and I said I don't want my face at all...he quickly marked up my jawline and did only below the jawline in about 15 minutes and it was much better although still not a very caring job. He was quick and a bit grumbly. Still thank goodness he did it as I had been very self conscious of the weird jowl bumps he had sculpted in the prior surgery. 

My jawline turned jowl line procedure was my priority. The jaw is now passable and I think all up I like it better than before although he could have brought it closer to ears. Final chin result would be a 3.75 but what a lot of stress to get there. Once that was done I tried to address the uneven 'sculpting' on my back that included a few overdone holes and some missed spots over all..(When you see the results online be aware that some irregularities take a while to show) He was 2.5 hours late for the appointment and very passive aggressive. He kept telling me how great I looked and taking pictures and telling me what a great job he had done. He mentioned that I was ungrateful and when I reminded him that I was initially in for one surgery and already $7000 over budget he just ignored it. In fact he dismissed the bait and switch of the first surgery every time I brought it up. 

When I explained I was still paying for the first surgery and I just wanted reasonably smooth contours he blurted that he should do it for free then because he is rich and I am not. His tone was rather terse and I got upset and then he acted like he was serious and meant it but then abruptly left and told me to lose some weight and come see him in 3 months as I was still swollen. After waiting nearly 3 hours and the passive/aggressive nature of the appointment I felt very unwelcome unless I was paying more so I have not gone back. I don't have all day to go and see someone and be essentially fobbed. So I have left it. 

There are some things I like about the results and some things I don't. I would NEVER wear a bikini due to cannula marks and irregularities so I guess I feel better in clothes but more self conscious naked. I found Dr. Lanzer pretty hot and cold. He would respond to complaints but mostly in a placating way. I found Dr. Aranov and Dr. Wells a bit more genuine and reasonable to speak with for the record. I have no doubt that Dr. Lanzer is a brilliant surgeon who is capable of excellent work but the problem seems to be that he spreads himself too thin and is more focused on quantity than quality. That was it. I spent my $20k with him and left feeling self conscious of how unnatural it looks and the cannula marks that are glaring in places. I was going to give 2.5 stars as there are some good things about the result but given the choice of 2 or 3 I chose 2. I was expecting at least a 4 as I thought I was getting the best and the way he promotes himself expected proper SCULPTING.Over all costly disappointing and distressing experience
