Healing from abdominal lipo!
I'm 26 and 4'10. I always struggled with love handles and that little lower belly pooch no matter what weight I was. Being so short i felt it showed and it always made me feel self conscious. It's gone!!!
I had my lipo done July 9th. So I'm still quite fresh. This is my first ever cosmetic procedure. I feel wonderful about my size and shape now. The cons so far are definitely the healing process. I'll come back to update again once it's finished!
I'm almost at the 6th day mark and my incisions are SO sore, but I think they're healing well? It's very jarring to look at! The draining stopped around the 3rd day. All my incisions have scabbed over except 3 that are still open. I live in my compression garment. My Dr. also suggested getting a foam pad to flatten out the frontal region of the tummy around the belly button.
I do get wild migraines even though I stay on my med schedule. Very occasional nausea at first but no throwing up. I finished anti biotics today. I would say overall at the moment my largest con is that I have read and heard that on 5th/6th day your pain is much lower and mobility I way higher than it actually is. Getting up is painful, sleeping is painful (and annoying because I do not sleep on my back still and unmoving like a hunk of wood) it's generally not as *easy* as it's been made to seem by almost everyone!
My lovely boyfriend pours soapy water over me with a cup and then clean water to rinse. I scrub my important bits and my shower lasts about 3 minutes total then he dresses me in my compression garment. I prefer the one that's built like a crotch less body suit that sits above the knees. I do move around a little bit around the house because standing isn't a big issue, it's usually just the sitting up or sitting down.
Hoping that within a few days the discomfort dissipates a bit more so I can move on to caring for the scars. My bruising is deep but not too bad and quite minimal compared to som I've seen! Any extra info and tips from more experienced people are very appreciated!
