Dr. Yily De Los Santos

Many people write reviews to say negative things. Well, I would like to write a completely positive review. Yily and her staff were nothing but kind and professional.
I arrived to DR on a Sunday afternoon, and was slotted to have surgery the Tuesday. Apparently, there was a cancellation and she was able to perform my surgery on Monday. I was picked up from my recovery house, @ app. 530a and taken to the clinic. There were about 4 girls scheduled to have their procedures done the same day. My vital signs and blood work were obtained. I was then
taken to my room, where MD Yily (and her translator) came to discuss exactly what procedures I wanted performed. She made the appropriate marks on my skin I then waited a few hours until I was called to the operating room. Now, the only downside to this is there was no WiFi in the clinic and I was unable to contact my family.
I was then taken into a peri-operative area, where I was given the infamous “blue pill.” Honestly, the next thing, I remember was being pulled from the stretcher into my bed, the surgery was done! I woke up and said, “is my belly flat?!” They said, “yes” and I drifted back to sleep until the morning.
Now, you hear all types of horror stories surrounding the hospitalization post-operatively. Lying in a pool of blood, calling and no one answering, intolerable pain. This was far from my experience. Now, I did pay for a private nurse to stay with me after the surgery but because my surgery date was changed, my nurse never came.
Fortunately, I was blessed with two nurses who were complete angels. The night nurses was constantly checking on me, ensuring that I was comfortable. When she went home the day nurse was there with the same effort and energy as the night nurse. The woman even spoon feed me soup to make sure I received some sort of nutrition. When I did experience pain, nausea or discomfort,
It was addressed immediately and with a smile.
During my hospital stay, I received two units of blood. Now- remember there was no WiFi and it was late afternoon by this time and I had not contacted my family or friends. I was desperate to contact them. This nurse help me to get out of bed walked me to a window and told me to stick my phone out the window until I got some sort of service. I did and it worked! I sent texts to all my family and friends letting them know I was safe.
The after care was just as good, I had three follow-up appointments with Yily while I there, where she checked and dressed my wounds. Her staff in the reception area were helpful, courteous, informative and most importantly professional and kind.
When it was time for me to return to work they completed my paperwork with a few hours of receiving it. I am throughly satisfied with the experience and would highly recommend MD. Yily. Thank you Yily!!
