Best Doctor You Can Find!
WORTH IT
I just reached 6 months post op after my surgery with dr Rosique and I think it’s time to write a review! I found the doctor through this page so I hope my review can help others too.
First of all some background: after losing 30kg in my early 20s, I went to a doctor in my home country for a breast lift. The doctor suggested a fat transfer for a better result and he liposuctioned 5 liters of fat just from my thighs and saddlebags (my weight was around 65 kg!) to transfer to the breasts. In the very beginning the result seemed good but as the months passed and the swelling was going down it started to show deep irregularities and indentations on my thighs. There was a clear asymmetry between the left and the right side too. Soon after my breasts had fallen again too, and they would also look very weird, because the nipples were placed too high and the upper pole was empty. The doctor was denying any problem, in his opinion the outcome was good and no correction was needed.
That was 8 years ago and since then I dealt with profound shame and insecurity about my body.
I tried to improve the condition of my legs by working out, using creams, massage etc but nothing was really working. Contrary to what I was thinking, loosing a tiny little bit of extra weight didn’t help, it made the problem worst.
I spent many years searching for a doctor that could be able to improve my situation for real, not willing to undergo another surgery otherwise.
Through this page I found out about women whose problems were similar to mine and finally decided to contact dr. Rosique last summer. Since our very first online consultation the doctor appeared to be very attentive and knowledgeable but above all honest, proposing realistic outcomes. He said we could improve the body shape and the breasts greatly and also eliminate the asymmetries with a lipo but not so much improvement would be possible on the indentations with fat transfer alone because of the degree of laxity of my skin. I especially appreciated this honesty and decided to trust him and go to Brazil. My surgery was booked for December 14th. When I met the doctor in person he just confirmed the excellent idea that I already had of him. He took a great amount of time to study my body and do the pre-surgical markings. This was especially difficult because I was thin and with not much fat to transfer. I appreciated that the doctor decided not to liposuction my arms because he said that the skin would fall in that case, creating a new problem. He gave me excellent suggestions also helping me choose the perfect size for the breast implants.
The procedure went well, the doctor did a small liposuction on my lower belly, back and outer thighs and injected fat into my back thighs. Since I have a very high risk for thrombosis, he took a lot of extra precautions, he even came to check on me the night after the procedure (on a Sunday!) and from those small details you can really see how much the doctor genuinely cares about his patients.
The recovery was very smooth and since I came to Brazil alone I was helped by private nurses that took excellent care of me. I was quite swollen but never felt any strong pain. Apart from wearing compression garments and taking a mild painkiller I wouldn’t need anything else. It’s very important that you drink plenty of water and eat right after surgery, avoiding excess salt and sugar as much as possible, otherwise the swelling will get worse. As per dr. Rosique recommendation, I’ve been doing taping for 6 weeks after surgery and it made a huge difference with the healing process. I especially appreciated that the doctor was checking on me very often during the weeks after surgery. In the end my stay in Brazil was extremely pleasant. Over there the quality of plastic surgery and everything related to it, from compression garments to scar creams to post op services like taping etc is far superior than what you can normally find in Europe.
Regarding the outcome of my surgery, so far I’m overall very happy. I must say that the result keeps time to show and the body changes during the first months. From the beginning I could see an improvement but it’s now becoming more and more evident. I love how the doctor did my breasts, the shape is great and the size is just perfect, full but natural, which was exactly what I was aiming for. The scars from the lift are healing perfectly too. Regarding the body, I can see a huge improvement (80/90%) in the shape and symmetry of my legs, plus now I have a more defined hourglass shape which I love. The areas where the doctor performed liposuction (tummy and back) are perfect , with no fibrosis or irregularities of any kind and almost invisible scars. The fat transfer reabsorbed a little but I can still see some small improvement in the indentations. Anyway, I already knew that it wouldn’t be possible to totally fix them with this procedure alone, so I didn’t even expect it. The issue in my case is the skin laxity and liposculpture alone can improve the shape of the fat but not the quality of the skin above it. I think that it’s extremely important to undergo surgeries like mine with realistic expectations.
As recommended by the doctor, I’ve been consistent with strength training after surgery and this, combined with a high protein diet, has been truly fundamental in consolidating and even improving my result. I will soon start radio frequency too in order to help the skin thighten up as much as possible.
The surgery can give you the body you desire but after that it’s your job to take care of it in order to maintain and even enhance the result.
In my case it’s still a work in progress but I am quite confident about the final outcome, this surgery gave me so much hope and I’m putting more dedication than ever into achieving a better body.
I will most certainly go back to dr. Rosique for a small touch-up after I complete 1 year post op because there is a tiny little bit of fat sticking out from my outer thigh and the doctor said he can easily fix it in the office without doing another surgery. I genuinely appreciated so much his willingness to do this touch up at no extra cost, he is a true perfectionist and you can really tell from those small details.
For anyone considering dr. Rosique, I can genuinely tell you from my experience that he is a great doctor with an excellent technique and, most importantly, a very honest and caring person. He puts a lot of dedication into his work and he will certainly try to do everything he can in order to give you the best possible result.
I will post an update at 1+ year post surgery, giving a feedback about the final outcome and the touch up.
