Baby steps: sculpting ankles & knees

I've always been bottom heavy - as in wear a size small on the top but medium on the bottom kinda' gal; and as such I've never been comfortable showing my legs in shorts/skirts/capris in the summer - I can get away with it in the fall/winter by wearing opaque tights which I fool myself into believing slimming.
After much research and deliberation, I have finally decided to do something about it and seeing Dr. Su for lipo sculpture of "cankles" and knees is the first step of that journey.
I contacted Dr. Su's office a month ago and was asked to send in pictures of the areas of interest, which the doctor would then analyze and "draw" a new outline on of what my new legs could look like. (I will attach both my pictures and those returned to me by Dr. Su's office.)
Needless to say, I was quite impressed with the new, almost delicate, shape my ankles could have and after considering the price quotes for the procedure, I decided to forge ahead with the treatment.
Lynette/Lynn/Angie were my go to points of contact in regards to necessary paperworks (instructions, guides, consent forms, accommodation informations, lab-works, payment, medication, etc.,) and other than being somewhat confused by the email address "names" not quite matching the names on the email "signatures," I have nothing but kind words to say about the above mentioned team.
I also spoke to Dr. Su on Monday and his confidence in the procedure and my candidacy for it chased away any lingering doubts.
I flew to Tampa International Airport today and checked in at the hotel; my best friend is due to arrive later tonight and I have spoken to Lynette and everything is confirmed for tomorrow's procedure at two o'clock.
Wish me luck!

Office bound

Just got a call from the doctor's office asking if I could go in at one o'clock instead - taking a last sip of my virgin strawberry and rinsing off the sand before heading over to Dr. Su's office.

Wish me luck!

Procedure

Upon arriving at the office, I met with Angie, who had me out of my clothes and into a disposable bra and panty set. I was then offered a drink to take my pain medicine along with antibiotics and nausea pills.

I then met with Dr. Su, who seemed very kind and professional and immediately put me at ease. He had me stand in front of the mirror and showed me how my ankles would look like by pulling/pushing on the areas before proceeding to mark said areas.

After he was done, he stepped out of the room and Angie cleansed my legs before having me atop a heated bed. Dr. Su then came back and began preparing my legs (ankles and knees.) I would rate the pain level of the numbing injections and subsequent rice sized incisions as a four - it was a stinging pain that was short lived and the numbing fluid felt odd but not very uncomfortable. I was then left to wait for the numbing medication to work at which point Dr. Su once more stepped out of the room while Angie and later on Lynn stayed with me. We chatted some and I was offered some refreshments since the medicine was making me sleepy.

At 3:10 pm Dr. Su began the actual liposuction. We began with the right leg and I was very much an active participant, being asked to shift and tense and push against Angie's hand etc. before standing up to see the result in the mirror. It is such an exciting thing seeing your legs sculpted in front of your eyes. I was very much pleased with what I saw in the mirror. He then proceeded to work on my left legs and after some necessary fine tuning which he noticed when I stood in front of the mirror, I was all done by five o'clock.

I would rate my discomfort/pain level at a four during the actual procedure. There were points when the cannula would come in contact with connective tissue and I would feel a much greater pain (level eight) but I was asked to inform him of those instances and he would proceed to change the angle or inject more numbing solution. I'm attaching some immediate after photos.

Angie then cleansed the incisions and closed all but four of them with superglue - two on knees and two on ankles were left open for drainage. She then helped me put on the compression garment which was quite a painful experience. My legs were tender and felt like a waterbed when pushed against. I was thrilled when I had the garment all the way up.

At this point I was offered something to eat so I could take another dose of the pain medicine. I left the office with a protective mattress pad and some additional padding covering the open incisions. I was also given Dr. Su's cellphone number and asked to come back the following day for a post op. The pain level when leaving the office was a six but I was warned that I would be in much greater pain as the evening went on.
