Surgery Scheduled for End of February 2024!

I booked my surgery on February 1st to have it done at the end of the month and I'm both really excited and terrified!

I'm 5'0, 130lbs. Eight years ago I lost weight and got to 116lbs and was happy with my body. I was lean but still had some fat in my midsection that I couldn't seem to get rid of. During this time I started working in tech and I went from being very active at a job in retail to sitting in front of a desk all day every day. I started slowly gaining weight over the years.

Now I work out consistently and eat relatively healthy, I am still happy with my body except for my midsection due to my apple shape.

The process to book was very smooth, Daniella was very helpful.
I got a call a week later to buy a package with the compression garments and other stuff I'd need which was $620 plus tax and is mandatory. I don't mind this too much because I don't have to worry about buying everything but it would've been nice to have known ahead of time since the price is steep for what it is. I also asked for a receipt from them twice and did not receive anything so I don't love that.

Anyway, I really like the work Dr.Mosca does from what I've seen on instagram. I specifically like his ab etching work and I'm hoping that I get similar results. I'm hoping to be able to wear mini skirts and crop tops and live my best life at 30 :)

It has been 6 days since surgery and boyyy has it been rough! I do wanna say though that it’s been rough in a different way than I expected.

I heard that people go back to work after three days so I thought I would be in a lot of pain the first three days and then be back to being self sufficient. However that has not been the case! The pain throughout the week and even surgery days and throughout the massages has been very manageable.

The parts that have been rough have been: having to pee all the time (btw you have to pee standing up) all the draining, limited movement because of the faja, limited movement because your muscles are recovering, depending on someone else to be able to sit and stand (at this point I manage to do this on my own but slowly), constipation, feeling tired after doing simple things like showering, a lot of itchiness under the faja that you can’t scratch, also being bloated and puffy and not seeing the results you were expecting right away

I can definitely see a difference but I was expecting more of a drastic result, I’m trying to be patient and hopeful that it will look better later on.

Everyone I’ve interacted with since surgery day has been really nice, the nurse setting up the IV, the anesthesiologist, Dr.Mosca, Millie, the massage lady Yolanda is a sweetheart.

Last thing I wanna touch on are the massages, I was terrified about the pain that I’ve heard others talk about but like I said the pain has been manageable so far. In fact, the first two days I barely felt anything since everything is numb in the beginning. I only took the pain medication before the first massage and then I switched to Tylenol.

Feel free to drop any questions!

Another thing I forgot to mention was that I haven't slept through the night ever since surgery. I wake up to pee at least 3 times and it's hard to fall back asleep. Also it's uncomfortable to find a sleeping position because laying down on my back hurts my back after a while.

I feel so big! I’ve been feeling down because the results so far look very subtle. I went for my 10th massage today. I’ve stopped draining and some parts of my stomach feel rock hard. I hope I see a difference soon
