Removed stitches

Removed stitches

Doctor said my lips were still 70% swollen. Will only see the end results 3 months later.

Lip reduction

Did my lip reduction surgery on 3 March 2021. The only pain I felt was the injection to numb my lips before surgery. The only discomfort I felt was after the surgery (for the whole day). I only took one pain killer after the surgery on the same day. The day after surgery I felt 0 pain and 0 discomfort. The only annoying thing was that I had a hard time opening my mouth as there was a lot of dried skin/ harden dried blood on my lips.

When I went back to the clinic for my first follow up appointment (10 days after surgery), I was not able to remove the stitches yet but they cleaned my wound for me making it less obvious. I was able to go back to work the next working day as the stitches were not obvious and it looked more like a dried, chapped lip.

Doctor mentioned that my lips were swollen (I couldn't feel that it was swollen and I thought it was already healed lol) and the swell will go down in 6 weeks or less. As of today (2 weeks & 4 days), my lips has gone down quite a bit (but according to my doctor it'll still go down). I will only be removing my stitches in 6 days.
