Lip reduction after silicone
$11,000
I've had multiple removals of silicone from my top and bottom lips, but they've always still looked quite fake afterwards. I saw Dr. K as he seemed to have a more aggressive approach. I explained that I wanted to reduce the white area above the top lip, and the red lip and white lip of the bottom lip. Dr. K reduced the red portion of my top lip without addressing the white area, so now I have a bulge above my top lip - like a MONKEY - and the red lip is all but amputated. I am devastated. I have no idea how the bottom lip is going to turn out, but it's insanely swollen. I'm praying that this just comes down to really bad swelling, but my gut says it's an issue. I didn't want the red lip on top smaller. I'm really worried this is going to look awful.

Swelling has come down a lot, but I still look pretty rough
I expected to be pretty beat up, but this is next level. Strangely, this is exciting. I’ve had so many surgeries that take out a tiny bit of silicone, and it looks okay for awhile and then it comes back. I can tell my doctor really made an effort to get the silicone and scar tissue out, so even though I might need more surgery to reconstruct the lip, at least I’m not going to be faced with a lifetime of silicone removal surgeries that look okay for about 6 months, only to end back at the beginning. I know it’s rough looking, but having been through so many of these, I’m realistic about needing to get it all out before I can rebuild.

More before pics
The pics actually look better than in person. My lips didn’t look too terrible until I started talking. When they moved they looked and felt strange. I’d frequently find people staring at my mouth.
