Not Worth It

I am now one year post-op from a lip lift procedure with Dr. Kieu and, unfortunately, I am deeply disappointed with the results. I have prominent, raised white track marks under my nose that appeared immediately after the sutures were removed and have not improved with time. These marks are not only visible but also resistant to concealment with makeup, which has significantly impacted my confidence.

I have been extremely diligent with my skincare and sun protection, strictly following all post-operative care guidelines. From the outset, I was assured that any scarring would be minimal and would fade significantly within three months. However, this has not been my experience.

Despite seeking additional support from a skilled dermatologist—whose interventions have been helpful—and beginning therapy to cope with the emotional aftermath, the outcome of this surgery remains distressing. Dr. Kieu recommended a steroid cream and eczema gel, which unfortunately exacerbated the issue, making the scarring more red, irritated, and noticeable.

I’m sharing my experience in the hope that it may help others make a more informed decision when considering this procedure.
