Scar issues
WORTH IT$4,000
I just wanted to update this lip lift review, it’s been almost three years since I got the procedure done and my scar was fine at first but at about 9 months post op it turned white. Now it’s a shiny white hypopigmented scar below my nose which totally sucks and is the worst kind of scar to treat. It also has some stitching ‘track marks in it.’ I hope it wasn’t some sort of issue with Linkov’s technique that led to this, it might just be genetics. So far I have pursued micro needling and repigmentation procedures with minimal results. It’s a total bummer but I’m still happy with the way my face looks overall, I just wish the scar wasn’t quite so prominent.

Before and after pics
Here are some update pics as requested! You can see the end result looks very natural but the healing process wasn’t too pretty at the beginning. Overall I am super happy and although I still cover the scar with makeup most of the time I know it will continue to fade further.

Merhaba gerçekten güzel sonuç peki ne zaman memnunedici görüntüye ulaştınız.Yani kaç aydan sonra?
Looks great! Did you have any difficulty speaking or smiling during recovery?
I didn't really talk too much for the first week or so and also avoided smiling and laughing just to not pull at the incision line. After that it seemed fine but felt tight for a good month afterwards. I still avoided opening my mouth wide to eat big bites of food for three weeks or so as well. When I smiled or laughed I could feel the internal stitches pulling a bit so I tried to avoid it as much as possible. Around month two everything was totally back to normal in terms of mobility. Currently I'm five months out and there's still the tiniest bit of pull under my nose when I smile really big but I'm used to it and it's not an unpleasant sensation. So I guess to answer your question it wasn't that it was 'difficult' to do or not do, it was just something I avoided because I wanted the incision to heal well.
It looks great!

Lip Lift
I had a lip lift with Dr Linkov in early January of this year, it went very well but the healing time was longer than I anticipated. I definitely was not one of those people who gets the operation and then goes out to brunch the next week, but now five months later the scar and lip have definitely settled in and I feel comfortable showing my face (perfect timing with the pandemic and mask wearing). I will say that Dr Linkov has an excellent bedside manner, he is very kind and you can absolutely tell he is a master of his craft and IMO THE doctor to go to if you want a lip lift in the Northeast (also worth traveling for).
The operation I did under local anesthetic and it was uncomfortable but painless after the first couple of numbing jabs. The first two days I took prescribed painkillers but after the second day I felt comfortable just taking a Tylenol. Eating mostly liquid foods was a bit boring and not laughing or making big mouth movements was a chore at the time but it's absolutely worth it (I suggest eating a lot of soups or anything you can put into an immersion blender).
The actual scar healing time took awhile for me but everyone's skin is different and I believe Linkov is a master of this operation and its incisions and everyone's physiology is different in that regard. I am in my mid 30s and have generally well healing skin but I've never had an operation like this before so I wasn't sure what to expect. Scar gel and spf are key. Around month 3 and 4 I finally felt like my indented scar flattened out and I felt comfortable showing my face around other people.
I believe I went from 20mm to 15mm or something like that, with a little bit of dropping over time so now it's maybe 16mm? I asked for the most that he felt comfortable taking off because I wasn't interested in going through the healing process again and I absolutely trusted him to not overdo it. I have a little bit of tooth show but most importantly I like the way it balances out my face. I feel like I look younger and prettier and am more happy with the way I look, which is why I got it done in the first place. At this point I've honestly forgotten that I had it done except when I look back at some old photos and think why didn't I do it sooner.

Thanks for the review! Would you mind sharing a photo?
Hey I posted some pics!
Note: I messed up the measurements in the review, I think it went from 15mm to 10mm or something like that, the end result is around 11mm.
