Wanted an Upper Lip-lift and Symmetrical Masseters, but Ended Up with Nasal Distortion and More Asymmetries
I had an upper lip lift with Dr Madnani and a botox injection with Cindy. Both did not lead to ideal results.
Prior to the surgery, I was not told of permanent nasal distortion that would eventually result from this procedure. If Madnani had told me about it, I would have never agreed to the procedure. Who would take a bad nose job in exchange for $4500 and 4mm off their upper lip? More than 8 months since surgery, my face's look is different due to the nasal bridge flattening (I have a flatter nose with more asymmetries) from how I looked a year ago. Moreover, due to the medications I was prescribed for post-surgery, without being made aware of the side effects, I ended up in the ER, 2 weeks after surgery, costing me another $2500.
I also went in for a botox injection on my masseter because due to my asymmetric bite the masseter on one side of my face is larger than on the other. Cindy, the botox provider, only injected botox on the lower area of the masseter and not the upper area, despite me requesting that she treat the entire masseter. As a result, this left my upper masseter still larger than the other side. When I asked them to fix this, all I got was bad customer service. They scheduled a call with a nurse practitioner. She called and then while I was explaining, she said "Oh wait, I have to take this [unplanned personal call]" and hung up; and called back 20 minutes later. Of course, I couldn't pick up the phone as I was in a work meeting. When I inquired via email, Shirley, told me to go some place else in a passive aggressive tone.
Moreover, I found out that they had not issued a refund for my consultation fees (which they were supposed to be applied to the treatments but weren't). I had to call and get Shirley on the phone. She tried to claim that the new policy is to only offer a refund credit, not a refund. I persisted and she flip-flops on the policy and proceeds to issue me a refund. So basically, she tried to lie to me and failed.
I was not at all satisfied with my experience here. They do not have much concern for their clients.
