1wk, sutures removed yesterday

Morning! I had my sutures removed yesterday. It was a little uncomfortable, definitely brought a few tears to the eye, but it was over before I knew it.
I'm going to add quite a few photos. Today is exactly one week out. I do have quite a bit of bruising which has been getting better every day. The bruising kicked in around day 3.
At my visit yesterday, Dr. M noticed that I had a little bit of swelling on the left side of my nostril. He said he was a little more aggressive on that side. We scheduled my 3-week follow-up visit, and if at that time there is still swelling, he said he would inject a little steroid to bring it down.
Unless anything changes, I'll definitely post after my next follow-up visit. He sent me home with the scar gel, which I've heard amazing things about, however, I'm not instructed to use it until after I see him in 3 weeks.

Day 4
I took this quick pic to send to a friend. This was yesterday, day 4. I was finally able to eat solid foods and was getting ready to run out to pick up lunch.
I'm getting ready this morning for my 930am appointment for the sutures to be removed. I'm nervous for the actual removal. However, very excited to see what everything looks like. I'll post a pic.

I'm so sorry, I'm off on my days. Today is day 6, These photos were from yesterday, day 5 when I was able to eat solid foods.
You have to travel back in 3 weeks? Do all patients have to return for a follow up visit?

How the pain ? I have mine 2/20
I'm going to tell you the truth, The pain was so much less than I anticipated. I can't even say there is pain. I was so nervous for the procedure. The numbing injections feel similar two other facial injections. I remember feeling the first two or three, after that. I was completely numb and felt nothing else at all. He told me I may feel pulling and tugging, I kept anticipating that. I never felt anything. Afterwards I was so numb. When I left there was no pain at all. I anticipated ones. The numbing injections Wore off. I would feel burning. And pain. That was not the case at all! My mouth felt very tight at first. It still feels tight, but not as uncomfortable as it did the first few days. The only time I experience pain, is if I do a movement accidentally that I should not. At this point, a week out, I am starting to itch. . I have to be very mindful not to accidentally touch the incision area.

Amazing experience! I just had my lip lift 4 days ago. Dr Mascaro is scary good! From day one my incision was invincible. My husband was terrified, he is thrilled as well!
The entire process has been a breeze. Aftercare, and healing has been very manageable. I am shocked with how comfortable I have been. I thought there was going to be much more discomfort. My mouth was looking amazing from day one! I did have nose swelling, which subsided drastically on day three, yesterday. Still have a little bit of swelling, but I can already see how amazing the result will be. I am beyond the moon! The results have exceeded my expectations.

Yes! I'm so sorry! I took it in the room after surgery, It was so bright. . I just had my sutures removed yesterday. You cannot see the incision! I'm promising a photo. Hopefully I'll post today.
