Best Thing I Ever Did for Myself!

WORTH IT
Best thing I ever did for myself! I love Dr. Parikh. I have very thin lips with almost no pink lip at all and first came to see Dr. Parikh years ago to get lip injections but it just wasn't right for me, based on my lips and what I actually wanted to achieve. You can only do some much with injections and fillers don't change the shape of your lip.
On my last visit a year ago I shared my insecurities with Dr. Parikh, and he suggested having a procedure called a Lip Lift, which would essentially give me a fuller upper lip; simply by removing a tiny section of skin from right under my nose and then pulling the lip upward. I had a very long upper lip, and I learned that as we age it lengthens even more.
It took me MONTHS to commit; I was very nervous because unlike fillers, it's a permanent change and that scared me. I met with Dr. Parikh MANY times as I worked through my decision. I had several office visits and somehow always had a zillion new questions, but he was super patient with me until I was 100% comfortable.
I am so happy I did this! While it is a subtle change, meaning it was not obvious I had surgery but friends have asked if I lost weight, gotten a facial, or have been doing something new. I have even been told I look younger but nobody knows why! And that's exactly what I was hoping would be the outcome. :)
I have a fuller, pretty top lip and I can see more of my teeth when I smile. I could not be happier. I am sharing my before and after picture at 6 months post surgery. My scar is not noticeable to anyone but me, if I really look for it and it should fade entirely within the next 6 months.
