Lip lift and rhinoplasty scheduled for long philtrum and bulbous nose

TRIMOMMY
WORTH IT$5,000
My lip lift and rhinoplasty is scheduled for feb 4th. As I’ve gotten older and my face has lost its for my nose looks more bulbous, and my asymmetrical nostrils are more obvious. In addition my philtrum has lengthened significantly where my upper teeth barely show when I speak or smile. I’ve done so much research on lip lifts and alar reduction, I’ve found my surgeon! Dr Rafizadeh in Morristown, NJ. He’s is very knowledgeable and studies your face to give you his honest opinion on what would compliment your features. My consultation with him was thorough and he explains every detail about the procedure. I want subtle change so he suggested I remove only 3mm from my philtrum. He will also reduce my nostril size and even out the asymmetry. Im nervous and excited but a bit concerned about the scarring. He did say he will conceal the sutures inside of my nostrils which gives me comfort I won’t be walking round with an obvious scar years down the line.

*sorry for the typos, I meant to say I've lost fat on my face as I've gotten older

I would research more about hiding the sutures nside the nostrils. Most people on here were not happy as their nostrils got distorted. The scar beneath the nose seems heal well if done properly.

I agree with Lavana2017 and was about to make the same comment. Please read everything you can find on lip lift techniques and discuss with your surgeon.

Hey! I also have a bulbous nose and have been planning a lip lift and slight rhino just to fix the bulbous tip that have gotten worse as I age. Can you let me know how it goes? I can’t decide if I should do both at the same time or do my nose with an a lister rhino surgeon and my lip lift a few months later with another surgeon. Are you doing the procedures at the same time? Thanks

Yes, I will be getting both procedures at the same time. Specifically I'm getting an alar reduction and a cephalic trim of of my tip. The surgeon I chose has extensive experience in both rhinoplasty and lip lifts. I will post my progress pics after my procedure on Feb 4th.

I will be posting pictures from the day of my procedure, post op and final results after Feb 4th. The surgeon is Farhad Rafizadeh. A lip lift is 4K. Im paying more than 4 becuase I'm having a some work done on my nose as well on the same day.

I'm confident in Dr. Rafizadeh's expertise to do both at the same time. I will post pictures through out my journey starting Feb 4th.

Exciting! Keep us posted. I almost went with Dr R because he’s close to me. He was in my top 2. Good luck!

The procedure went very smoothly. Besides the local anesthetic I didn’t feel a thing. I decided to pass on the cephalic trim to my nose after discussing a few things and narrowed it down to only an alar reduction and lip lift. He removed 3mm from my philtrum, I wanted to keep it conservative and if I felt I wanted to remove more I would so in the near future. Once the procedure was done he let me take a peak before bandaging me up and I was delighted to see that I got exactly what I had requested. His bedside manner is so reassuring that you know your in good hands and his staff is excellent. The pain is kicking in now since it’s been a few hours but it’s warranted. I’m going to take acetaminophen around the clock and relax for the evening. Let’s see how tomorrow goes.
