My scar has stretched drastically and feeling very self conscious. The mask is saving me at the moment and am currently in talks to have revision. I noticed the scar stretched last November and it’s just gotten bigger and more unsightly. I’m happy with the reduced philtrum length but the scar is really getting me down. It’s not straight, has tracking lines and is wide.

Did your doctor lift just the skin or skin and muscle?
Disappointing for you. hat did the Dr say about it? Have you tried laser to smooth it out?
Hi, I've been told my another surgeon that the tissue was not anchored properly which has caused the stretching. The scar is now as wide as the amount of skin that was removed. I am having lip lift rectified by another surgeon on the 19th August.
The Dr has not replied to my messages so I've just moved forward in getting it rectified with another surgeon in London. Laser is not an option as my lip is now the same length as before the procedure.
Look into getting Dr. Mascaro in Del Ray, FL., to do your revision. He is on this site and literally has hundreds of rave lip lift reviews, including scar revisions.

Lip lift with Dr Oelbrandt
After having my previous Nose Job with Dr Oelbrandt I was extremely satisfied. This was my biggest hang up.
After the years went by, my second hang up started to bug me more and more!
I had a long philtrum which runs in my family.
Of course I tried lip fillers to try and mask it but it just made it worse by giving me duck lips with a long philtrum.
I decided I was just going to do it as now wearing face masks was the perfect opportunity to hide my op.
I travelled to Beveren-Waas, Belgium on the 31st July in the morning via Eurostar to Brussels then another train to Beveren-Waas
We checked into the hotel and then headed to the clinic.
The Dr and I spoke about how much was going to be removed and both agreed 7mm. My philtrum was approx 2.3cms!
I had my surgery in the afternoon under local, I was awake the whole time, talking to the Dr about all sorts.
The surgery took about an hour I think!
After all was done, I returned back to the hotel with my pain killers and iodine for wound cleaning.
I wasn't in any pain and didn't need the meds. I was just extremely swollen. My face looked like a chipmunk! My lips were so big but I could see the distance from my mouth to nose was so much shorter.

You're so lucky to get it for that price! I would definitely go to Europe to get my lip lift done. I'm dying to get it done actually but it's impossible for me to fly. I hate this! Every US doctor charges close $7k and up. I hate being American so much sometimes. If I lived in Europe I'd be able to get all the procedures on my wishlist.
I noticed that Dr. Mascara in Florida only charges around $2800.
Please share more. Looks very promising.
What made you trust him to do your lip lift surgery? Is he a lip lift specialist?
do you have any pictures now to see how the incisions and scars healed?

Not to knock your decision but I don’t think you had a long philtrum. You had a normal philtrum and nice lips imo. Im honestly not criticising your decision but I just wanted you to know that your lips looked good any way. I hope your revision goes well x
