WORTH IT
A month after my revision, my lip on the right swelled up. I had a biopsy in this area a year and a half ago. I was given the all clear that it was nothing sinister but they removed a small piece of dead tissue that I can only assume was an after effect of the filler 6 years ago. To cut a long story short I'm having this investigated again with the oral and maxofacial dept as I see it as more medical than cosmetic. However after the revision my lip seemed to be dropping again. This is the embarrassing part but felt it important to share to help anyone else in my predicament. I have an upper denture and it seems it was this that was contributing to the dropping. I have now had that adjusted and am posting most recent pic as of today. I still have a slight difference on the right but hope this will be resolved after my visit to oral and maxofacial as I think it could be a mucous cyst. So Mr Marando had his hands full with me he had many obstacles to work with but still did a very good job. I started my post saying it has been a long and arduous journey and want to make clear I was meaning I have been looking for solutions for 6 years. But I am certainly a lot more happier after meeting Mr Marando. I apologise to those of you who asked for photos earlier, I hope the above explains why it has taken some time.

One month post op

I had my first op in February. One month post op I noticed a drop as it settled and a difference on the left hand side to the right. Mr Marando was excellent and agreed that I needed a revision. I had this done in June. I didn't have the full bull horn lip lift the second time. I was concerned that the centre would be too raised and it wouldn't look right on a woman my age. I'm 55. So I just had the sides lifted . My first op I had 4mm on the right 4mm in the centre and 3mm on the left. On the second op I had 2.5mm on the right and 3.5mm on the left to try and balance my lip out. So overall I have had 6.5mm on both sides and 4mm in the middle. I can see why Mr marando initially only took 3mm on the left as looking at my before photo I had slightly more lip at one side. I also want to add Mr Marandos stitching is immaculate. Once the stitches were out I have never been over conscious of scarring. I've healed really well from both ops.

Post op photo

Hopefully this will work. Post Op photo. I don't want to keep repeating myself as it asks for minimum of 200 words and I can see my comments have been posted but not the photo, so trying again. Will post next part of journey later.
