Clean face pictures- no makeup and in light from the sun. My scar isn’t invisible but pretty close- a line bordering my nose and a little but of white marks on the sides of my nostrils from stitches. It really has changed everything as far as my appearance and confidence goes. Just being able to use lipstick is a delight. Still, I wish I asked for a tiny bit more but oh well.

Hello lovely ladies. I am so excited to be posting this update and show you all just how worth it it is to get this procedure (from Dr. Talei of course) and how happy you can be.
Reading reviews on here can be so conflicting and I want to give you all the most authentic and comforting review to help you be confident in your decision to undergo this procedure.
It's been 2 1/2 months since I got this done and my lips continue to get better and better every day. On a previous post I mentioned my doubt over wether I got enough excised and my disappointment in not seeing any tooth show. Well tadaaa I have tooth show now and believe that my lip will keep lifting. My mind is honestly blown at how different I look. I feel transformed from dull and frumpy to bright and playful. Bless you, Dr. Talei. My photos will speak for themselves!
Some of my observations and experiences while healing:
- My incision area is stiff and still a little numb and sensitive
- When I get cold the area becomes purple
- My nose flattens out a little when I smile
- The scar is near invisible but still has a little shine and the skin is still a little red
- My lip is just a little swollen when I wake up in the morning
As I continue to heal this will all go away!
The only concern I've had was being outside in the sun all day for my summer job and if that'll hurt my scar. I texted Dr. Talei and expressed my concern and asked if there is anything I should be doing to protect it. He promptly responded and told me not to worry and to just use regular sunscreen. I love that he's made himself so accessible to his patients.

Omg you are adorable. You have cherub lips now. Beautiful! There is a reason why they say Dr Talei is the best in Beverly Hills for a lip lift.

Looking fantastic! I'm wondering: what do you think allowed for the eventual tooth show? Do you think the swelling was preventing it before?

I think it's the scar area continuing to heal. It's been 2.5 months since I got my lift and I still feel a little numb around my nose. At the 1 month mark the skin between my nose and lip was still hard/numb and didn't' move when I talked or smiled. Now, I feel like the elasticity is back and I can smile normally and my lip has just raised higher? I really have no idea so that's just my guess! As I've gotten more tooth show I've still maintained the added volume to my upper lip.

Did it change your nose? Your nose looks up more or is it the pictures? If it did change your nose does it matter to you since you have the over all balance that you wanted?

No it did not- It's just the angle of the pictures. The only thing is that it's still a little swollen. It will slowly return to how it was before.

16 days after my lip lift. It feels better…

16 days after my lip lift. It feels better every day. I'm able to move my mouth and nose a lot more normally without any discomfort. Smiling is still awkward looking and feeling but better every day. Around the incision is still a little numb and very stiff. The scar is getting near invisible. There are just some bumps on the sides of my nostrils but that's from applying a lot of aquafore

Your results look so good! Would love it if you could give us an update and see how they healed and what the current size of your upper lip is now. Do you have more tooth show now that swelling is down?

Thank you! Yes to my absolute delight I now have a little tooth show and I believe I'll still have more once it's all done! Ugh I've been meaning to make an update but keep forgetting. I WILL do it this week.

Your result looks lovely! Can I ask if you've noticed any particular difference in the way your nose looks now? I often notice that patients who undergo this procedure end up with flared nostrils and a sneering look, which is what has put me off doing this in the past.

Thanks! I know exactly what you're talking about and that's why I had put it off as well. I went with Dr. Talei because he addressed that issue and assured me that his method does not cause any disturbance to the shape of the nose.
The only difference with my nose since doing this is that my nostrils are swollen but it's so faint that I'm the only one who notices. My nose does look a little stretched out when I smile but that's because the incision line is still a bit stiff. It still has the exact same shape as before and will soon l be 100% back to normal.
