If You Are Considering V-line – Talk to a Good Specialist First!
satisfied!
So, apparently, my salivary glands are quite big, so after reducing the bone, they became so noticeable, who could know that haha! I was suggested to get some botox and it really worked!
Very satisfied with how everything came out, no regrets!

If You Are Considering V-line – Talk to a Good Specialist First!
My before pics are the ones I took on the day of the surgery, there are some filters but the asymmetry in my lower face is still noticeable. Since I’m currently residing in Seoul and posting a review from here, RealSelf set KRW as a default currency, I tried to change it but couldn’t. So, the price may not be precise due to the exchange rate. If you send me a message I’ll tell you the exact amount.
The idea to proceed V-line appeared in my head long ago when I first came to Korea as an exchange student. Eventually I found a job, my second half and decided to stay here. Being in an advantage of my abilities in both time and language, I searched a lot and visited several PS’s. Btw, the consultation isn’t free everywhere, which I personally think is a bit low as some surgeons didn’t spent even 10 mins on me. Their prices vary between $20-50 per consultation and on top of that I also had to pay about $50 for CT’s and X-rays. As I found out later, highly reputable places would never charge you for just a consultation, although you’ll have to pay for CT’s and X-rays, which I personally find totally reasonable.
The decision to proceed a surgery at Regen was made right after my consultation with Dr.Oh. Like no other doctor I met before, he pointed out the real problem I had – asymmetrical lower face. While other surgeons just agreed that I have squared jaws, some even tried to convince to proceed zygoma reduction as well, he said that my face looks pretty enough without any surgery and THAT very small something that bothered and dissatisfied me all the time wasn’t actually in my wide or squared jaws, it was just in a slight asymmetry caused by a bit more protruded lower jaw from the right side. I was truly amazed how passionate he was about his job which also reflected in his attitude. Our consultation was very informative, leaving a very positive impression on me.
Although I’m a light smoker, I needed a month to prepare for the surgery. A day before the surgery I came for a body checkup. The operation was supposed to start at 11 next morning, so I started fasting from around 10pm. When I arrived Regen I was directed to the recovery room where I was supposed to stay. I washed my face, gurgled my throat and headed to the operation room on the 12th floor. I can’t say much about the surgery itself as was under general anesthesia and woke up only when everything was over. There was a lot of pain in my neck and slight swelling. Btw, swelling has a tendency to reach its peak by day 3-4, at that time I felt like my face is just about to blow up. On day 7 when I came for dressing, drain removal and laser treatment, I felt much better. Stitches were supposed to be removed after 2 weeks but Dr.Oh, after seeing me on the 7th day, suggested to wait a week more.
Now it’s been 2 months already, I do feel great but my right side is still a bit swollen. Last week I was at Regen again and Dr.Oh said that my recovery goes quite normal. I try to cover it with some makeup and hope it’ll be gone very soon.
