ID Hospital V-line, Zygoma Reduction, Rhinoplasty, Double Eyelid and Canthoplasty

Hi, I am a transgender female, mtf I had v line surgery, sliding genioplasty, zygoma reduction, rhinoplasty, double eyelid w/ inner canthoplasty all done at the same time at ID hospital in Korea.

First of all I'd like to start with why I chose ID hospital despite them having a number of bad reviews online. And trust me I looked at so many clinics and so many websites when I researched, realself, purseforum, soompi, doc finder Korea, you name it.

1. When I went there and consulted they were extremely busy compared to other clinics I've been to. Naturally, the more popular a place is the more complaints they naturally get just by sheer volume

2. This is the more important reason, ID hospital has the most experience with transgender patients. They have many Instagram before and after and even have a facial feminization surgery section on their site, no other Korean plastic clinic had this

3. I shoop my cosplay photos hard. I know what shoop looks like. Yes they shoop some of their pics, every Korean clinic does, but ID has more drastic changes than more conservative clinics which is what I wanted

All these surgeries take a year to see full results. I plan to update this post in August, November, and may 2020. I am currently 1 month post OP and for the most part am happy with my results

V-line: my face is alot smaller. And every day the swelling goes down it continues to shrink. I wish there was more definition, but I am only 1 month post, my face changes drastically by the week and I am excited for the future. Even currently I am happy with my results

Sliding genioplasty: if you look at my before pics, it is very obvious I had a recessed chin, not only did this surgery even out my face, my bringing my chin forward it pushed my bottom lip forward as well, making my lips look more luscious. I am very happy with this surgery

Double eyelid and inner canthoplasty: pretty standard. The line is still healing but seriously my eyelids before were awful. One was mono and one was double, it looked silly and uneven and putting on eyelid tape every. Single. Time. I go outside made me want to scream. My eyes look a lot bigger due to the canthoplasty and let me tell you something I didnt realise, when you go from mono lid to true double eyelids(no glue or tape) it actually increases your field of view because your eyes open more, it's very nice. You dont realize how heavy your eyelids are until half of it is cut off. Very satisfied

Rhinoplasty: mixed feelings. My old nose had a hump in it which was removed and I love that it's gone, however I regret not asking for a smaller nose. My nose is roughly the same size but my face is 20% smaller so it looks a bit large which I failed to account for, my post surgery nose is perfect for my old face, not my new one. The swelling is still subsiding but at the end of the day its much better than my old nose so I cant complain

Zygoma reduction: one of my biggest and constant insecurities before surgery. My cheekbones were God damn GIGANTIC. I never took videos because they stuck out so damn much and I almost always shopped them away when I had the chance. I am so so happy my cheekbones are not as prominent. Incredibly satisfied with this surgery. I look in the mirror and dont hate myself anymore

The surgery process, quite frankly is one of the worst experiences I've ever had in my entire life. And this is not an exaggeration.

After v line and rhinoplasty your nose is COMPLETELY plugged. Completely, you cannot breathe through your nose at all. After the 4th day of mouth breathing I felt like my.lips were actually going to just fall off my face from how dry they were.

You cant eat solid food for a week, and even 1 month post surgery I still cant eat a burger, only soft foods like brisket and mashed potatoes. God what I would do for a steak

I know suicide Is a meme, but the first 24 hours after surgery made me wish for death. I was constantly coughing blood, my throat was dry and hurt more than the worst fever and you arent allowed to drink water or sleep after the anesthesia

Aftercare is a [RS bleep], you have to take like 30 pills a day and they taste [RS bleep] AWFUL, normally tbus isnt a problem but when you can only open your mouth 1 finger wide you are essentially forced to taste every pill. I wanted to puke, and almost did on several occasions

1 week post surgery you fare much better, I spent the last week in Korea exploring doing tourist things

I spent well over $30,000 USD total including surgery costs, trip, hotel, etc which honestly isnt too bad considering how much work I had done, Korea is very cheap.

I went to Korea by myself, if I could change things I would have

1. Gotten lasik surgery before coming. Double eyelid means no contact lenses, rhinoplasty means no glasses. I was essentially blind the whole trip and taped my.glasses to my.forehead when I went outside

2. Set time aside before surgery for exploring Korea, it's a nice place.

Would I recommend surgery to others?

Sure. But it's a more daunting experience than I had ever anticipated even after watching and reading countless surgery reviews, please be of sound mental health if you decide to get work done
