Just posting some more updates on my procedures. I really do think my calves look slimmer than before. Sometimes I see them in the mirror and don’t even recognize my own legs! The seem to get better every single week. I still keep them compressed daily and they are still sore to the touch in certain spots. I had three different procedures on my calves though so they received quite the beating haha. I’m Excited about my results so far. My jawline is looking better everyday too. I still focus a lot on my diet and make sure to avoid smoking as recommended. My goal is to go 3 whole months (at least) without any smoke so my body has a good chance to heal. My jaw is still sore to the touch and very noticeably swollen still. I cannot get a toothbrush into my mouth to brush my tongue for example. Also when I smile lightly I can feel the hard swollen pockets pressing against my teeth. I think I still have a very long way to go but it’s great seeing the improvements every week. The right side is still taking noticeably longer to heal but I compared photos from a few weeks prior and the definition is far better and the swelling has gone down a lot. I can finally start to make out the definition in my jawbone. I had several procedures to this area so i’m trying to remain hopeful and patient throughout this process. I look normal for public for all intensive purposes and no one sees my lower face anyways since we are all wearing masks right now due to covid! It seems there’s no better time to get jaw surgery than the present with the pandemic covering our faces and all. My female surgeries are also healing very well and I think I liked this doctor most of all! I’ll update more soon. Thanks for reading
Back home in the states finally! Another update
The left side of my face is healing faster but the shape is coming in nicely. I’m still sore to the touch and very swollen on my jawline. The right side is still slightly larger than the other but it is much improved today. This is the side I normally sleep and chew on so I think there’s just more tissue to come down from swelling.
My paranasal fat transfer is settling in nicely. There is no more crease at all in my marionette line area. My smile is still swollen looking in this area but they assure me this will resolve over the next few months.
My calves are still very swollen and bruised but they are noticeably smaller to me already. They are still somewhat sore to the touch but improve every day. The bruising is much better today. I’m going to start applying various arnica gels tonight to speed up the healing. My compression socks definitely slip on easier than prior to surgery. My calves are slimmer already. Still wearing compression all day, every day ! I think this is really key to keeping the swelling down. I doubt a really great sock company for this purpose and bought several pairs. I will share the name in a future update once I find it.
I started my period yesterday and it was pretty normal. I felt somewhat dry before it started which usually doesn’t happen but I did just have major surgery there so I think it’s just a minor symptom. My doctor told me I could begin steaming right away. I plan to begin as soon as my period completes on a few more days. My nipple piercing surgery is also improving nicely. The holes are much better looking and some are virtually invisible now. Definitely worth it if you want to reverse a piercing in this area! I had a hard time finding any doctors to perform this procedure in the states for whatever reason so i’m very grateful to have found this doctor!

Update
I saw all of my doctors today and they say i’m healing nicely. I still ice my lower face every day and sleep sitting up. I use a neck pillow to make it more comfortable. They told me today I can start sleeping on my back if I want to but i’m going to continue sitting for a while because i’m usually a side sleeper and don’t want my body to think it can turn when asleep. I am very cautious about what food I eat right now. I make sure to eat ingredients with lots of bromelain like pineapple juice. There is a really awesome juice place that delivers to the hospital. I’ll make another post with food suggestions to order from later.
Every day my swelling goes down more. It is noticeably more swollen on the right side but i’m told it’s normal. This is usually the side that I sleep on so I think it’s just naturally a little bigger on the right anyways. My face looks fine so far but just like i’ve put on some weight there or something. It’s just the swelling though. If you look closely at my photos you can see where they drew the line for the new shape. The swelling is becoming closer to the line everyday! So I use it for encouragement sometimes to see my progress so far. My chin is looking especially small so far! I hope it keeps looking that way when all the swelling goes away.
I’m not in any pain unless I were to touch the swelling, then it’s just slightly uncomfortable. I’m told it’s better to just ice if instead of trying to touch or massage out the areas right now. Massage isn’t allowed for a whole month after surgery! It’s definitely a little challenging trying not to touch it so far. The ice really helps!
My flight is in less than a week so I am hoping to get my swelling down as much as possible so I can have a better chance on the flight of not swelling up too much. I’m planning to wear my head wrap on the flight so give it some extra compression for the long 13 hour ride home to the states! I do the oxygen chamber therapy here at the hospital 2-3 times a week and it is really helpful to me so far. I can feel my face tingle and shrink when I’m in there. I highly recommend this therapy for your recovery ! I’m so lucky they have it right here in the hospital building and I don’t have to go find a clinic somewhere outside. So far everything I need is right here in the hospital or close by!
