I've been researching Smart lipo for over a year...

I've been researching Smart lipo for over a year and the time has finally come!! I went to my initial consultation back in March and originally I decided to get smart lipo on arms, thighs, upper and lower abdomen, flanks, and bra roll which would cost a little over $13,000. However today on 7/26 I met with Dr.Boutte for my pre opp appointment and to do my blood work. I'm extremely happy I met with her before my surgery!!! She's everything I thought she would be! She was personable, genuine, and seemed to truly care for her patients. After taking my age, weight and other factors into consideration, she recommended that I only do 360 lipo, and save my arms and thighs to do a couple of months later. That's not it.... she also recommended that I went under IV sedation, so i had to move my surgery from this coming Saturday to TOMORROW! I'm scarrred!! But I know I'm in good hands. Ill post pre opp pictures tomorrow and also write a review about how everything goes... Wish me well !!!

What kind of anesthesia dud you have. Local or general. I want 360 but in afraid of general anesthesia.

For my 360 I went under complete IV Sedation and for my arms and back I was under local anesthesia... I personally prefer complete sedation because with local anesthesia I felt everything!!! If you have a high tolerance for drugs or ever smoked marijuana it's said that you'll have a lower tolerance for the sedation medicine and it might not take as well. Both situations were tolerable though.

Trusting the process

Queen404
So I'm about 2 days post opp and the pain is manageable however at times it's excruciating. I believe the worst part is the drains, I can't wait to get these things removed. The meds provided put me straight to sleep so I've been drinking a lot of fluids and mainly resting. I also try to get up and walk as much as possible. When sitting for a long time it hurts to stand up straight, my mom keeps telling me I'm walking like a 90 year old woman LOL... I also only take my compression garment and binder off to wash once a day!! Compression is truly key!!!

I'm doing really well thank you! I went to my 1 week post opp yesterday and was told that I'm healing beautifully, unfortunately my drains have to stay in another week, I'm still draining an awful lot.. I'll be posting another update with pics very soon

More work!!

Queen404
So as I've stated before, I originally wanted to get my arms, upper and lower abdomen, flanks, lower back, and bra roll done however, Dr. Boutte thought that would be too much to do at one time. She was absolutely right!! My first surgery was done under anesthesia and I was completely out, I woke up bandaged and dressed. For this procedure, which was performed this past Tuesday. I got my arms, bra roll, axilla, and lower back done under local anesthesia and I felt almost everything. The numbing was the absolute worst part however the lipo itself was only really painful in certain areas. I was told I handled it like a champ. I really appreciate Dr. Boutte and her staff! Dr. Boutte talked my through the procedure and often checked on me and nurse leee held my hand and offered reassurance through out. I'm really satisfied with the work performed and I can't wait to see my final results. I've already lost a lot of inches since my first procedure and I can't wait to work out again. I will start walking more and eventually I'll be able to incorporate weights once I've healed more. The pain is moderate, I believe the lower back is the most tender area and my arms of course feel restricted because of the garment . I will post pics soon. But so far I'm loving my results and would recommend Dr. Boutte to anyone considering having lipo done.
